Visa extension bandar abbas:
We had a 90-day visa from the beginning. After 45 days we extended our visa in bandar abbas by 30 days.
We were there at 7:45 am, after 60 minutes we had the extension.
Payment by card or cash possible.
We had photos with. Woman without hijab. We had forgotten photocopies, but we could do without them.

It was very crowded, but we were (apparently) sent to a separate counter. They took good care of us.

We extended our visa today 5 days before expiring. We paid 500000R per visa extension and it took us about 1,5h. We got 30 days but I think if you want you can easily get more. You need to bring a copy of the passport, the visa and 1 picture (for women it's not necessary with a hijab).
You need to leave all mobile devices at the entrance.

Nobody spoke English but Visa extension for 30 extra days was easy to explain and cost 500 000, we gave cash and a local paid for us with a card. Everything which was needed as previous descriptions. But it took us 2 days and 3 visits to the office because their servers were constantly down. Leave all your electronics to the car if you don't want to check them in with the security guards. Other than that pretty straight forward.

Everyone was very friendly and one person speaks good english. We asked politely for an extension of 60 days and got it. We paid 1mio. Rial per person through another clients credit card. The whole process took two hours but only because the computer system was down. Without the outage it would have been finished after 1 hour. Parking is possible opposite the office.

Iran 21
In a village in southern Iran.
All travelers to Iran probably know from their embassies that the law does not require a visa extension until May 21, 20.
But what if a village policeman doesn't know about this law and doesn't speak a foreign language?
09:30: First you are asked to come to the village police station accompanied by two police vehicles, which is tantamount to being arrested.  There, a protocol is drawn up in the national language that has to be signed.
Then it is determined in infinitely long phone calls that the current legal situation cannot be clarified here at the village post and that one should now be accompanied by a soldier to the next headquarters.
1:00 pm Arrival at the immigration office in Bandar-Abbas.  We are familiar with the Visa law here, they tell us with a smile, but it is easier to extend our visas than to hand over the law in the local language, the only problem is that the boss is not there to sign and is finished at 2pm  .  We would like to come back the next day between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
2nd day 09:00: Fill in applications in duplicate, but at least with carbon paper, for 60 days.  The official has four stars on his shoulders, speaks a little English and has the dialect from Kerman, requires 1 million IRR per visa, payable with debit card.  And he demands a cash amount, which he refrains from after I explain to him that his government regards cash as a great risk of infection and we therefore bought a debit card from DaricPay for € 20 and ran out of cash.  The cash amount was probably intended for him.
Then he criticizes the women's passport picture without a headscarf.  I explain to him that the Iranian embassy in Abu-Dhabi has accepted a normal passport photo for the visa and that it is only an extension because we cannot leave the country because of the closed borders.  Now, apparently, this stone has also been removed from the "tourist evacuation program"!
Around 10:30 am we were told that the boss was not there for the signature and we would like to come back at 13:00.
12:45 the boss is still not there, we may wait, but we don't know how long.  Of the 10 officers behind the counter and in the adjoining rooms, the first dress civilly, because 2 p.m. is the end of the day.  We are the only "customers".  Our fear is growing that we will be told at the end of the day to come back tomorrow.
Shortly before the end of the day, our Kermaner comes with a visa for one month!  I protest immediately because nobody can guarantee open borders until then!  We need at least an extension until July.  The Kermaner is of the opinion that we could extend again at the next police station.  I argue that this is why I have now spent two days in police stations and actually want to see Iran and its culture.  And lo and behold, all of a sudden you can extend it by hand for another month!
The Iranian people are incredibly endearing;  but that's another, less beautiful side!
Perhaps the matter could have been clarified with the village policeman if I had presented the relevant law in the local language, but my embassy did not want to send it to me on request!
