Report Check-InWOW amazing place! Loved the pads that were extremely flat! Easy access to Death Valley!
Report Check-InTons of open pads when I was here. Free, no service and no bugs. Great place to spend the night before heading into Death Valley.
Report Check-InBargain! Great place with mountain views, only 15 min away from the scenic view Zabraskie point of Death Valley. Super quiet and you can get 100% flat by parking on the concrete platforms. We parked as far as we could to make sure no one would come to bother us, however disrespectful persons came to park really close (French and German campers). I have spotted one French camper emptied all his gray water by the spot he stayed at. Please respect other privacy!! and overall mother nature... We haven't been bothered by any bug.
Report Check-InBeautiful view, lots of spots and even some flat space. No cell reception but perfect before or after being in Death Valley.
Benji & Audrey travelling with our Truck Camper
Report Check-InAs described. Lots of concrete level spaces, no cell service. Free.

Stayed with a group of camper vans. Quiet, level, great location just outside the park.
Report Check-Inabandoned RV park with multiple slabs, perfect for level camping. free, before you get to death valley. not much wind and beautiful views.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay when visiting Death Valley NP. Easy access from 190, any size rig can stay here, and many, many spots to choose from. I stayed 4 nights and there were only 4-5 vehicles in the lot each night so we were all able to remain spread out. If you want more privacy, there are some dirt roads that branch off the main area that have some options too. Furnace Creek Visitors Center in the park is about 25 minutes away.
No service on TMobile anywhere around here.
Had a great stay for a Saturday night. Only two other overnighters, with mild road noise. Lots of slabs with a great view.
Report Check-InAn AMAZING place to stay just outside the Park. Flat slabs, no levelers needed. With a 4WD van, we drove up over the hill to have an amazing view and a bit more privacy. Closer to a 3.5-4 star, but can't get the stars to update.
Report Check-InThis is apparently an old trailer camp for a mining operation. Hence the very large concrete pads and clearances. It's a dream free camp location, no signage at all so everyone seems to assume it's okay to stay a few nights. Only about 10 RVs and a couple of tent campers here at the moment (about 40 degrees last night). Will likely get busier as the California COVID reopening continues. There is rebar at the very large concrete pad on the way in, you can probably even see it at night. The pads are on a loop road after a short drive in, with the pads on the back road (furthest from highway) having generally easier access. Some of the pads have small wooden supports which can be avoided if careful.
Report Check-Ingood spot lots of level parking on concrete. some hill parking around here too. felt really comfortable parking here while exploring death valley. careful if you come at night, some re bar you can hit if you don't keep an eye out.
Report Check-InThis is a great place to camp for free especially now that Death Valley is closed due to COVID. There is some trash though. Campers, please pick up after yourselves and dispose of your body waste properly.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for one night. All campgrounds in the national Park are currently closed due to Covid and the California lockdown. So this was a lifesaver spot! There were a lot of RVs, campers, and buses, but we were able to find a spot. It was a pretty quiet night for the amount of people everywhere.
Report Check-InLots of room, level concrete slabs, quiet and easy access with our 28 foot motorhome. Absolutely no cell service and no amenities (no toilets).
Report Check-InAs described. please don't trash this site. put your toilet paper in plastic bag and dispose of them elsewhere. Don't leave them here under a rock.
When coming from the park look for the sign "Elevation 3000 feet", the road is to the right soon after the sign just before the down hill starts toward DV junction.
Report Check-InAwesome place to stay. Really great spot with nice views if you drive up the hill!
Report Check-InArrived here around 8:30pm on a Saturday.
Plenty of other rvs and campers around.
Free and plenty of space.
Report Check-InAwesome place ! We were all alone ! Wonderful sunset and sunrise but the best was the sky full of stars and the Milky Way ! Wouahhh !
Report Check-InWe pulled in to this place at around 3am. Even though it was dark, it was fairly easy to find. We had the whole place to ourselves! The view at sunrise was beautiful.
Report Check-Inexcellent camping location for tents to big rig RVs. was a former campground that is no longer maintained. campsites have concrete slabs but some are deteriorated. there are usually other campers when I've stayed here but there's plenty of space to spread out. the elevation makes this area approx 15 degrees cooler than death valley.
Report Check-InAwesome spot!
Bring fire wood to have a warm night in February and enjoy your stay!
This place is amazing. We got here on a Monday and there was only 2 other RV’s here out of 50+ spots. The concrete slabs are nice and clean so it is a great place to set up some chairs and just relax in the sun. It is about 32km(20 miles) from furnace creek so very easy to visit for the day. Lots of old gravel roads to hike or explore if you have high clearance as some of them are washed out. There are no facilities so it is best to be self contained otherwise you will need to do your business outside. Lots of space in between the slabs so you will have good privacy even if it is full. Overall this place is great for travelers on a budget
Report Check-InAs described! There is a lot of places, it's free, quite and very close to the road. In the night, it's very windy. But it's nice!
Report Check-InBon spot pour accéder à la Death Valley
Peu de monde, beaucoup de place et calme
Facilement accessible car pas loin de la route
Belle vue
Great spot in a former rv park but you can say it only by the formers pads that’s provides you great levels spots. Great views over the mountain but the road is nearby and it was full so not a lot a privacy.
Report Check-InGreat place. Quite a few places scattered between the hills with a lot of space between. Nothing reminds of a previous rv park, perhaps maybe the concrete slabs do.
Report Check-InSeveral spots, it seems some Rvs are parked there for a long time. You can be seen from the road but it's not so close. Had a good night
Report Check-InGreat spot. There appears to be long-term residents, with generators, so don’t expect solitude. Makes it difficult to find a spot for private ablutions if not self-contained. But possible. No AT&T reception.
Report Check-InJust reached now as it got dark. Superb area with plenty of space and level sites. Deserted rv campground.
Report Check-InAs described. Level concrete pads. Quiet. Off the main road to Death Valley NP. Stars are amazing
Report Check-InAs originally described. Quiet, well off the road , stars are amazing from this spot. Just before the entrance to Death Valley NP Concrete level pads
Report Check-InThis is either a former mining camp or former/never completed RV park, depending on what you read online. Regardless, it is BLM land now and is a free, wonderful spot just outside the gate to Death Valley. Many flat, great spots to camp. If you're like us and prefer to dry camp with space & quiet rather than RV parks with sites on top of one another, this is a great alternative to the established places inside DVNP.
Report Check-InIt seems like an old RV camp with concrete slabs and much space. It is situated between Death Valley Junction and Death Valley and good to stay there when you arrive in the evening and won't enter the Nationalpark this day anymore.
