we did the suggestion from the close site and kept driving a little further down the river. We are right on the river with a lot of room. 1 Kombi, 2 motorcycles and 4 tents. no bugs, fairly quiet and a local saw us on the way and said it was very safe and Tranquilo. road is hard to find because it's location doesn't drop right on Maps.me. look for El Amaro on Maps.me near the pin drop. follow that road to the end. lots of rocks, some sand, some gravel. motorcycles and Kombi were fine. room for bigger rigs to park but not sure about the roads.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The spot to the west is really awful but arriving here I gave it a chance and ended up staying for two days. The heaps of gravel and dirt are not the nicest thing around you but at least it is very tranquil. One local on a donkey-drawn cart came along the second day, we greeted. The view on the mountains is great and I had an amazing sunset over them. It was quite a surprise that you hardly hear the motorway, maybe the wind helped, the sound of the river surely did.
Report Check-InNothing but a stinking dump found here. Photos are from the correct place, a little piece of gravel factory inside a huge dump.
Report Check-InJust as described - road looks a bit dodgy with thick dust and rocks but we were ok. Access from the south obviously - Google Maps sends you north (no access across the river). Really lovely sunrise/sunset. Tonnes of space. One tiny mosquito...
Report Check-InYou can also approche from the other direction (as we did)
Description is ok
Penty of space. Go past the rubbish and past the gravel piles. Nice instructions from the previous overlander.
