Report Check-In

Beautiful place with stunning sunset view. We came from the south and thought there were miles away from any civilisation when we noticed that going north there is hard core touristy activity and the end of ripio.

Report Check-In

Nice place. We had the place to ourselves from 21:00. In the weekends it can be more crowded.

Enjoy!

Report Check-In

Superb place. No traffic. No people. No dogs. No noise. No wind (!). Just us, a stunning view, a gorgeous sunset, a billion stars and a glorious sunrise.

Muito tranquilo e com uma vista mágica da represa.

Amazing view point to appreciate the beautiful canyon and its Embalse Valle Grande. We were there on a Saturday night and had the whole place for ourselves! We had a gorgeous sunset, a super quiet night, and medium winds. Visitors and buses started showing up around 9am the next morning.

Absolutely amazing spot. Don’t miss it! Flat. Incredible views. Likely solo. What more can you ask for.

Beautiful spot above the lake. Easy access. Had the whole place to myself and woke up with my van covered in snow!

buena visa, muy tranquilo.
para acceder estar atento a un pequeño desvío del camino principal.
generalmente hay gente pero luego de las 20.30hs no queda nadie.

We were here off season in the fall and for us it was the most perfect place. No wind, no noise, we were alone. Beautiful sunset. The view is amazing. People came and checked out the view until about 19h30, nobody came after that. Early birds got here at around 8h30. Is probably much busier in the summer.

Report Check-In

Stunning spot to camp. Busy until about 9pm when the sun went down, although this was out of season. Not many flat spots and not many places for private toilet breaks. Highly recommended if you're wanting to drive through the canyon
We were lucky enough to see an adolescent condor land on the cliff edge for ages. They really are beautiful and absolutely massive! Please observe from a safe distance and DO NOT FEED THEM!
No Claro signal and poor 3g Movistar signal.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place to spend a night or two. Can be busy during the day but quiet after sunset once people leave. Can be windy. There was another spot close by but it is now behind a fence and a locked gate, so this one is the only option. The campgrounds down below the dam are very touristy and expensive. They are noisy as well.

beautiful place to stay overnight. spectacular view on the lake and at night you can see a lot of stars, if your lucky with the weather. Quiet night and morning. after 10 comes a lot of person to appreciate this view point.

Report Check-In

It is a very nice place and we had it for us, but at night we had to change the place, because of hard rain with a lot of thunder and lightning around us. And it is really an exposed location without protection. A few meters continue there is a place on the mountain wall.

Report Check-In

Nice place with stunning view.

We saw only two cats, feeded them with chicken and some dog food. Also we gave them water.

Report Check-In

We spent a wonderful time here. We stayed 3 nights, taking care of the cats and relaxing at the edge of the cliff. It was the weekend, some people came in the afternoon but no one stayed for the night. Very convivial and peaceful atmosphere ! Highly recommended !

We slept here las night , we were the only ones, during the weekends it’s really busy . I found here a female CAT 🐈 and two baby’s! (I couldn’t take them cause I rescued 2 kitties and It makes me scared that the mom of the kitties attacks them ) if you come please look where there’s a pile of rocks (the big pile) and leave them water/food or take them with you .

Report Check-In

Not a great spot for us. It was very busy when we arrived at 7. Probably 10 cars. The last car didn’t leave until after 10. Another car showed up at 2am and a couple hung out chatting near our tent for an hour.

Report Check-In

Nice spot off the road, wonderful view of the dam lake and quiet overnight. No facilities.

Report Check-In

Nice place with great views of the lake. Nice to watch and photograph the sunset/sunrise. We stayed one night and other than the fierce wind that night it was peaceful. There was no traffic after dark until about 7:00AM. Most people don't seem to bother driving this short loop road. There is ample room for several vehicles even a couple of big rigs. There are no facilities.

Report Check-In

We changed the description from “Parking at the lake” in “Parking above the lake”. The spot is actually 200 m above the lake! We saw 3 to 4 passenger boats cruising on the lake on a sunny weekend. They start near the bus stop approx 500 m from the retaining wall. The boats also bring people to the opposite bank of the lake to some beaches.

Report Check-In

Excellent place to stay over night. Nobody there, no cars on the road at night.

Report Check-In

Amazing views but this is a very exposed site with no wind shelter. We went to bed with very calm conditions but were woken in the night by the strong winds. Probably not a good site for pop-up campers or roof-tents. No facilities. Free.
There is a nice walk up the hill behind - take the southerly exit from the mirador and look across the road a few metres to the right of the pylon is an old vehicle track. It's a bit vague/overgrown in places but leads to the top of the hill (about 30 mins) with even more distant views.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. No one said anything to me with a dog and tent.

Report Check-In

Very good spot! Very quiet. The view over the lake in the morning is magnificent.
