Description

Not a large site, but can accommodate three or four vehicles. The site has some large trees which will provide shade although lower-hanging branches may be an issue for bigger vehicles. A central kitchen area has electrical hook-up points, a sink for washing up and seating, but no cooking facilities.
The location is away from the nearest beach (15 mins walk) but as it's quite high, catches nice breezes.
The main reception area/bar is large and spacious and has a relaxed vibe. The restaurant offers a variety of reasonably priced meals.
At the time we visited, Yoga classes were being offered (500mtc) Great teacher! I'm not sure if the classes are constantly available.
Small pool.

Really nice lodge and staff. The rooms are also quite nice, a cut above most other backpacker type places. The grounds are quite pretty as well.

They have secure parking too.

You are camping around the car park on grass, using shared ablutions of other accommodation. There are braii areas around, places to camp are limited as trailers around the place. I agree with the not feeling so welcome comments as it's a makeshift camp area and people coming going early also leaving the gate open which is annoying. Communal shady areas are around. Owners didn't introduce themselves or anything, can't comment on that.

Comments seem a bit controversial so I think it's fine if you want a base to go off for activities, if you want to relax for a day or so and have a camping experience it's definitely not the one.

Great place, lovely atmosphere and place is build according to Malinese architecture, even has Mali fabric upholstery on the furniture. Owner is a bit of a conspiracist, but nice guy, very friendly staff and they have a great an very affordable menu. Camping is perfect, in the back of the garden and proper ablutions. All you need.

One of the few campsite in Tofo, but when we arrived this was not really a campsite. We had to camp in between trailers, some jerrycans. We did not felt really welcome, later we got waked up at 4 am because other guests were leaving with the trailers and made a lot of noise. After one night we decided to leave. We moved to a chalet closer at the beach. However Turtle Cove looks beautiful and the restaurant food is ok, but slow.

camping is just at the parking area but nice with shade, on grass and a braai. ablution really basic, cold water (but who needs hot water when its 30°c).
bar/restaurant has a breeze wich is nice on hot days. has a swimmingpool.
they offer yoga sessions.

The campsite is open and it is one of the best options in Tofo. It is a 15 minute walk to the Japanese Restaurant Sumi, which we highly recommend. The campsite has shade and the toilets and showers (cold water) are ok. Met 300 pp

They no longer offer camping here as the government have revoked their camping license. Shame as it looked beautiful.
They do have rooms though.

Good place to base yourselves for Tofo. About a 15 minute walk to town and beach. We paid 400mt per person which we felt was expensive. Only cold showers and place needs some maintenance. Otherwise clean and good camp kitchen nice boma, bar and good free WiFi
