Description

Be careful on the way to Cerro Verde national park. There are multiple view point. We knew that usely we should not stop if there is no armed guard, but we decide to stop anyway because there was a couple with two child. A minute after we get off our car to take photos the couple left the place. Another minute later two guys armed with handguns brought us into the wood and ask us to give everything we had. Of course, we did, so we gave up two cameras, my wallet, a bag full of our clothes and our cellphone. At some point he pointed his arme directly on the head of my girlfriend and he started counting... I does not mean to scare anybody, because we decide to continue our trip in El salvador but just be really careful with these view points. Sadly we never get the chance to see Cerro Verde but it looks really nice.

Today there was three police in this spot. We stoped two minutes for photos and follow to the Cerro Verde NP. However the guardaparques told us to avoid stop on the way to Cerro Verde. Don't worry, If you go to the Volcán Santa Ana will can see the Coatepeque Lake perfectly.

This mirador is slightly off the mark. Today there was a couple set up selling fruit. We did not stop.
