Report Check-InCarabineros just asked for driving license and nothing else.
Report Check-InNobody was there. A busdriver said we can left. We saw nobody inside the police office. We left after 1 minute.
Report Check-InNo control for us. We slowed down because of the orange cones but there was nobody. Looked around and a officer waved us in the distance to continue.
Report Check-InWe stopped, parked, asked the guy who was standing there what we need to do. He told us to go in the office. We went but there was absolutely no one there. We left.
Report Check-InPolice stopped us, asked where we are from, then said buen viaje - nice cops. No worries.
Report Check-InThe carabineros asked for the special assurance licence named SOAPEX exclusively for foreigners. We had previously consulted our assurance agency in Argentina and we were told that if the assurance mentioned especifically the name of the country (Chile) it was ok. The carabineros insisted that SOAPEX is a "different" thing and although it is not required to "enter" the country it is mandatory to "travel" in it. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. FInally the man insulted me ("all Argentines are so hard to accept things") so I asked to talk with his superior to denounce him. Al last we were back on the road without paying anything and receiving the apologies of the chief.
