Report Check-In

The carabineros asked for the special assurance licence named SOAPEX exclusively for foreigners. We had previously consulted our assurance agency in Argentina and we were told that if the assurance mentioned especifically the name of the country (Chile) it was ok. The carabineros insisted that SOAPEX is a "different" thing and although it is not required to "enter" the country it is mandatory to "travel" in it. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. FInally the man insulted me ("all Argentines are so hard to accept things") so I asked to talk with his superior to denounce him. Al last we were back on the road without paying anything and receiving the apologies of the chief.
