Something not right?

Description

Buscamp between Shiwa Ngandu and Kapishya Hot Springs. Narrow road leaving the gravel road in a right turn on the left hand side. After driving under the powerline you will find a more or less open spot on the left. Visible from the street but only two persons passing and not disturbing. You will find space vetween small trees. Might be too tight for big rigs.

Latest Check-Ins

We camped up the two track a bit, don't go up past the power lines, five women from the village came to say we were on their land they were nice about the issue but wanted us to pay them. There were about 10 people from dusk till midnight that walked down the path and a couple who were yelling and drunk that also walked down the two track. This road seems to be used more than previous entries. Camp at your own risk.

Report Check-In

We stayed here after a day visit at Kapishya Hot Springs. There were not many options along this road (D53), so that we were happy to have this. In the rain season the bushes are thriving. That's why we stopped already under the powerline. A few people were passing by on bicycles. Good place if you want to avoid the expensive Kapishya Lodge campsite.

Report Check-In

We camped about 7m past the pin on the right. Initially we drove further down the road but met some people so decided to camp closer to the dirt road. Lovely peaceful night.
We drove the M1 from Mpika then the D53. This made for a great alternative to the trucks on the T2 and beautiful scenery. This route will be slower than the T2, but less stressful.

Great bushcamp. We drove further into the bush along the 2 track. Very peaceful no one came past. Good for a stop before the hot springs.
