It is indeed a cyclists paradise, beautiful spot right next to the lake, great views, we sat and watched the sun setting! Thank you to the person that found this place and put it on here, and to everyone for keeping it so clean. Our best wild camping place yet!

Que hermoso lugar! Nos bañamos en el lago y disfrutamos de la tranquilidad. Lugar limpio y perfecto para acampar libre ( para ciclistas). La entrada es un camino malo de auto que comienza un poco despues del punto marcado, viniendo desde Villa Angostura.

great spot as mentioned. facing the lake from the road at the rough coordinates, there is a rough 4x4 track behind the bushes. If you follow this to the right it will stop and that's where you need to go down to the camp spot

Amazing spot, super clean with a lot of good things, wind protection, shadow, firepits, wood and the lake. I am in a motorbike, and I can’t go down, because it is heavy. But I camped hidden with the pines few meters up of the spot. Thank you!

Best overlander yet! We share the place with another cyclist and there was plenty of space for everybody.

Fantastic campsite for cyclists and well maintained. I decided to contribute to the area and I cleared a new spot nearest the water from big rocks and moved dirt to make it level and comfortable for a large tent. If more people maintain the area and do the same... we could create several gorgeous level areas for campsites for future cyclists.

The access is a little entrance through the bushes. It's right there, you will find it if you follow the coordinates. You'll need to go through another down entrance again before getting in the place of the photos. I came here at 1pm and left the next morning. No one came, and the route noise don't bother at all. A paradise, literally. I clean the place a bit. Please, don't left your trash here

Wonderful spot with a beautiful view of the lake. Some threes and a beach with rocks. Really clean.
Just near the road but hidden and quiet.
Just for tent.

This is a great spot as described, but more hard to find than before since they fixed the road who knows when. The path that leads to this spot is hidden, but if you pay attention you may find the marks of bike wheels that will lead you here. It’s is beautiful!

Fabulous little spot, a must if your a cyclist. Great little sheltered area to camp and nice water to take a very refreshing dip! One of our favourite camp sites.

Great lovely spot as describe. But no place to park/hide your car, you'll have to park it along the road. Finally went more north on the road and camped on the beach (10km north)

Fantastic spot. Not visible from the road but a little road noise. Worth it for the view though.
Sheltered from N or W winds, SW or S would be a little exposed.
Somebody has clearly taken a lot of care here - building a fire pit, clearing a path through the stones to the water's edge and even making an extra little windbreak out of branches!
Room for 3-4 tents. Fair bit of shade if you wanted to stay during the day.
Highly recommended!

Nice sheltered place near the water. Great place for cyclists and trekker. No access for cars or vans. You can make fire and have a fantastic view over the lake and to the mountains.
