OK spot for the night, close to the dirt road but not too noisy at night. a bit of trash around but we did a full cleanup. it was late and dark and needed to stop for the night. Lots of good spots between the beginning of the main dirt road and it's end where it meets a brand new highway in the middle of nowhere.

Two wheel travellers can follow paths away from the road. Mature acacia trees offer excellent shade and can't be seen from road.
Entrance to sand quarry nearby so truck noise during the day.
Good place for the night and to hike to the lake. Near an old big tree which give us shadow during the day.
Report Check-InWe camped here while taking the scenic route from Aguas Calientes to Guanajuato..
We stayed a few spots down from the GPS pin. We went further up the mountain, away from the reservoir, but didn't see any camping spots as good as the ones in the bottom, near the creek. I'd recommend picking one of those, there are several between the GPS spot and the small bridge crossing the creek.
