It's impossible now, to stay at night. Sign on the beach and the police patrol all night long.

What a nice place! Beautiful beach!! Super clear water... Safe.

Stayed five incredible quiet and relaxing nights here. We were regularly stung by some kind of jellyfish larvae in the sea and wasps around our van. Walked to Mini Super in El Lobo for some fresh vegetables and provisions and stopped by the police station to top up water. Great free spot and felt safe sleeping with the back door open.

very nice beach, no problem to access it with a 24 foot. shaded places, calm ocean and crystal clear water. feel free to walk around at low tide on your left. Free and safe.

Plage paradisiaque!!!

Beautifull place to camp. Nobody was here while we stayed. Very cold water and quite wind. Many trees and good shadow. Quiet and perfect to stay some days.
No facilities. Bring everything you need from La Cruz 18 km away.

Highly recommended spot ! Beautiful beach, a bit windy bit at least it was refreshing.
Water is cold, but swimming is good even for kids

On recommande !

We stayed one night, the place is very quiet and safe. The water is very cold. Be careful with manzanillo trees. It can be made fire

Nice quiet beach camp. There were other people around during the day, but lots of room for everyone. No tables or running water, some trees for shade. FREE

Waouuuw!

Report Check-In

We stayed here two nights on front of the beach during eastern. With some shade. Nice beach. Familiar ambient but water is really cold

Report Check-In

It’s quiet with a very pleasant climate, and the best thing is to camp in front of the beach!!!!

Stunning place, incredible sunsets, hot sand and cold ocean! Make sure you bring something for shade - the sun can be brutal. Some flies but no big deal, likewise with the tiny jellies. Police came past 1-2 times per day, super friendly.
We also came just after semana santa, during which it apparently went off. We met the local government workers who were super nice and even gave us a tow out of the soft sand when we got bogged (make sure to test the sand before you park, and if you don't have 4wd then don't go all the way to the end - we weren't the only ones to get stuck)!

Report Check-In

Beautiful beach. Great for swimming. We drove almost to the end of the little dirt road that parallels the shore and pulled out onto a beach front spot. Police drove by late each night but left us alone.

This was our first wild camping experience and, though we were a bit on edge once the sun set just because it was new for us, we loved waking up on the beach to the sound of the ocean! It is such a beautiful cove and is perfect for swimming. It was one of our fav camping experiences yet! Note: We ignored the "no camping" signs but asked locals if it was safe/ok to camp and they said yes. Around 7pm, we saw the police coming down the road but because we were at the far left end and tucked behind a tree, they didn't see us. They were probably just doing rounds. Also, we stayed on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend and some people were partying until 3am a few hundred feet away. If we did it again, I'd make sure it was a weekday.

Many curious birds...long tailed grackles and magpie Jays , with Pelicans fishing offshore....sheltered cove, beautiful crescent beach.

free, no facilities other than trash bins.. lots of people on beach in the day parked under the beach side trees but by evening many leaving. A few with generators and music but mainly quiet, probably busier because of holiday time (christmas/new year). Something stinging, probably in the water, maybe jellyfish, only mild discomfort. A great place, we put up 2 man tent and were fine.

Report Check-In

Amazing place. Lots of birds. Calm cove. Easy for swimming. Water is colder than most other areas of CR. Some locals look for crabs at night with flashlights. Didn't experience those annoying noseeums we've had at other places. Beautiful sunsets. Doesn't get better. Town 3km away had a small market that has a bathroom and sells good/water.

Report Check-In

Excellent and quiet ! A perfect place to stay on the beach with children.
