Description

This place is permanently closed.

Located behind the Pemex #9851. Check in at the Pemex & they will open the gates.
This was a beautiful campground a few years ago.

the new Owner of the Pemex is rebuilding the Park now. The Staff & Luis assisted us with parking, making sure we were OK & comfortable.
There is a electrical outlet on a pole, but used our generation sets.
The price e was sure good - Free! We were asked if we would buy gasoline when leaving. We do this whenever we stay at a Pemex anyway.
Grassy area with lots of shade trees between the sites. water available. Very quiet Country setting away from highway.

there is a beautiful building on site that maybe could be used for tenting g in bad weather.

Hopefully the Owner fulfills his dream of making this a great Park again.

Report Check-In

The RV campsite was unavailable. We parked our 33' Rockwood motorhome next to Comedor Vicky's little restaurant just adjacent to the Pemex #9851. We ate dinner at Vicky's and the food was excellent. The only drawback was that the restaurant owner would not allow us to plug into their 110AC electrical service. We used our generator instead.

Report Check-In

Don't go to this place. It's closed and the people of Pemex or Oxxo don't have a key. They told us it was possible to spend the night on there parking lot for 150 peso. We just filled up our tank for 1000 peso. It was dark and it was raining and we were tired. I made a lot of noise and asked for the manager, then the lady said it was ok we didn't have to pay. I hate this

Report Check-In

As reported by others, the campground no longer exists. However, we were told we could park at the Pemex in a big field with lots of potholes. Staff friendly. We moved on.

Report Check-In

The Pemex is a good spot to stop.. the campground in the back is not open!! Right off the Hwy and everyone is nice

Report Check-In

Stayed at the Pemex ... to wet to get to the campground!! Quiet and level!!

Report Check-In

Park is not complete however the owner was very nice. We stayed on the parking lot . Felt very safe however there is noise as the Pemex is open 24 hours.

Report Check-In

Don't bother stopping. this is not a campground. no one comes to open the gate. We have stopped here twice. Last time we stayed next to the little ramshackle restaurant. It was noisey .

Report Check-In

Asked at the Oxxo and ended up with the lady who lives next to the gate. She told me, we can only park under the trees behind the Oxxo store, not behind the gate. So the place is nothing else as parking at a Pemex. We went on.

Report Check-In

No longer free but a quiet stop for the night. As soon as we pulled into the Pemex, they asked if we were there for camping. They opened a gate and pointed towards the general area. You can tell there used to be 12 large pull thru sites with power and sewer. The only power there now is an outlet on a pole in the middle (which we did not try). The sewer connections looked overgrown and I would be nervous about using them. There are a few bathrooms (without toilet seats) and a sink. Lots of mozzies at sunset. Two guys who work on the property live in a building near the bathroom. In the morning when we were leaving, the woman requested 150 pesos before opening the gate for us.
