Beautiful spot in a large grassy area, not visible from the road at all. Leads up to an open fence but we stayed by the fire ring. Lots of firewood and shelter from the wind. This is the spot mentioned in the site further east down the road.

At the entrance, there is a sign « camping not allowed » with the mention Los pioneros from the official campground from Cameron....but we didn t care of it.
It was super windy and we decided to let the refugio for people in really need

Quiet night
Beautiful forest. A bit less wind protection where the marker is, but if you look a bit off to the side, there is a huge tree trunk and a second firepit and if you back into this little area, you will be pretty much covered from the wind. Might be hard to be perfectly level there, but I don't really care anymore.
Report Check-InThis is a few hundred metres off the road and you can find a level spot. We had a guanaco as a neighbour. Not much wind and super quiet.
Report Check-InWe decided to stay at spot Russin #2, at the fire pit. Better hidden than spot #1 and larger too. Quiet night, beautiful spot on a green meadow surrounded by woods (wind shelter). BTW: mobile signal with 3G 😉
