At the end of the gravel road leading to the beach there is a grassy patch with an established fire pit.
Locals use it but empty at night. Stunning views over the Pacific and penguin and pelican colony as well as the odd seal.

Beautiful spot, we slept here a Monday night and no one came around till late in the morning, it was very quiet
Report Check-In4x4 needed on last mud slope section. Chilean got stuck and we had to tow his car out with our van. Good spot for views, crowded on weekends (20+ people came down to the beach), good entel 3g. Hard to find bush toilets though as you are exposed. No penguins, only from September till march
Report Check-InWonderful place, we were all alone. Camped on the hill next to the parking and it was marvellous in the evening but very windy at night.. probably wiser on the beach :)
Report Check-InStayed for two nights with a roof top tent. At most 2 camper/rooftent place. Good view. Sea lions & penguins island very near. You could sail to near penguins only with locals. Very tranquil place; but very popular at weekends. If you redirect yourself; go at weekdays.
Wild camp; no amneties.
It really is a wonderful spot! It is a steep path, but we did it in a 2x4 VW T 2 .
We spent one night there and it was very beautiful. We actually almost stumbled over a penguin when we walked along the coastline. So please don't let dogs run free. The Penguins are supposed to habitat the island, but this one was on the mainland. A dog would have hurt or killed it for sure. Also, please keep a 5 m distance to the Penguins in order not to scare them. After all, we are intruding their natural habitat.
We were there in off season, it was quite windy. Besides an old television on the beach there was no garbage. Let's keep it that clean!
Great spot to camp for a day or two. Locals visit during the day, but only a few cars full throughout the day. And I was here during high season.
Good views, lots of penguins and pelicans and other marine life. Please clean up trash (even if it isn't yours) so the locals stay happy.
Report Check-InA really beautiful spot to camp. Lots of seals in the bay and on the two days here we saw several pods of dolphins hunt in the bay. With binoculars you can watch the penguins on the beach of Maiquillahue island and a local told us sometimes they can be seen on the beach just next to the parking area. A bit busy on a Saturday afternoon with locals who stop by for some pictures. The gravel road is currently in good condition but indeed very steep. Parking area is not too big, maybe for two campers if you want to leave some space for day tourists and the possibility for them to turn around.
Report Check-InOne of the most beautiful places we have stayed! Aside from two small day groups stopping by, we had the place to ourselves for two days. Stayed an extra day we liked it so much.
VERY Steep gravel road down. It was freshly graded and dry for us, no problem getting up with our rear wheel drive Sprinter. Think twice if it has been really wet and the road is really messed up, if you only have 2x4. Keep your speed up.
