Lives up to the hype! Some friends told us it was lovely here so we aimed for it. Told some other cyclists about it on the way, so there were six of us in total. Plenty of room for us all to have our own private pitches. Beautiful views, totally alone, great clear water and good wind protection. You could even get a fair amount of rain protection if you set up in the trees. Top camp of the trip for sure!

There’s a dirt road with a wooden fence. Go down it to the river bed. The grass area was wet so we used the sandy area

Amazing site, great view and access to river. Some mosquitoes when we were there. 3 separate campsite areas with firepit and wind protection. lots of horse footprints around, it looks like they graze here. there are also some 4x4 or ATV tracks but I'm not sure where they come from, since the path from the road is not passable by 4x4 or ATV.

As described earlier, you can only reach this place by bike or on foot. Flat, grassy area to put your tent. Nice view over the river and mountains. Unfortunately the horseflies were all over the place (very sunny day). Other than that it was a perfect place to camp!

Also there are a couple stones under water in the river bed that seem quite warm. We suspect there’s some geothermal action. Maybe some enterprising biker could move some rocks around to capture the heat and make a small hot springs.

Our favorite spot on the carretera austral. Very aptly named Paradise. It’s totally gorgeous: soft grass, wind protected, secluded, firewood, easy river access, and breath taking mountain views. Gonna remember this place for a long time.

this place is really wonderfull, stunning view, perfect for tents, water and fire pits, plenty wood. relax and stay here for a night

Report Check-In

as someone mentioned you have to go around a gated entrance, however except for some cows there is no one around. Excellent camping spot with easy access to the river. Not visible from the road. Bicycles only.

Only for cyclists and backpackers (motorcycles maybe). Lots of space for tents, green flat grassy ground protected from the wind. The view is impressive. River nearby and fly's and mosquitoes as well. Lots of dead wood.

Report Check-In

Gated road but could squeeze a small motorcycle at the side.
'dry' riverbed was flowing with water and it was wet and windy. I didnt want to cross it. I continued to the next site under the trees by the creek.

Very lovely. The sandero/ path down off the road is rideable with a mountain bike but maybe not so much with a road bike/ pannier set up so it’s a pushing job. We also found out when leaving that you can go in/ out via a path to the north of the sandero with a wooden barrier across it. We think this just stops cars. There are MANY mosquitoes at this time of year!

pretty awesome spot. quiet, water nearby, some grass to pitch up your tent. all what you need.

Report Check-In

Great spot for cyclists! Two big grassy areas to pitch tents. Amazing view of the mountains (if it's not cloudy) sources of firewood nearby and a river right below. I also stayed at the first Paradise spot the contributer put on the map near Bariloche, equally amazing!
