A user reported on 20-9-2018: There is no camping allowed at the hot springs. I have been going there for years and as the number of people visit and camp in or around the parking lot, the BLM and law enforcement take notice. The only camping near the hot springs that is allowed, is about 1/2 mile before you get to the parking lot. There are numerous signs posted saying no camping and visitors say it’s allowed because they read it on this site. Don’t get me wrong, I love your site! This place is in danger of being closed due to people illegally camping and leaving a lot of trash. Please post for people to obey the posted signs, so this place can be enjoyed by everyone, especially us who live nearby, and those that visit from around the world! This info can be verified by the adept of the Interior office located in Bishop, CA!

Wow what an awesome spot! Came for sunset and sat in the hot pools until dark to watch the stars. Bring a flashlight. Lots of pools around - you have to search for them a bit. Camp down the road for the night.

There's really only one blissful tub here... and it's only big enough for 2. One of the sweetest I've ever been to. The one at the parking lot seems to always be too hot. Road 4/19/23 was 4x4 accessible only due to snow on the road. Rough even in perfect conditions. Stayed 2 nights. All good. Nice having a pit toilet at 8am.

Bit of a rough road going up but doable in 2WD. Just go slowly and watch for potholes. Well worth the drive. So beautiful at sunset and despite the number of cars, hardly saw anyone. Walk around a bit, there are quite a few pools!

Wonderful!
Take Jack Sawyer rd or Tavertine Rd off the highway to access the hot springs. We didn’t see a single sign along the highway indicating where they were.
There are toilets there but no other facilities. Please don’t camp there and please take your garbage with you.

Amazing. Don’t tell anyone :). Hot springs are beautiful get here early or stay late as it is busy. And PROTECT IT!!! There is a pit toilet. Not a lot of camping. The rule is no camping here so no camping. You can camp near by and drive in the morning. Enjoy.

Nice place to soak. Visited around 7pm on a Friday and it wasn’t terribly busy but there were def ppl in every pool the road getting up is well signed but a little rough - just drive slow. Sunset here is very pretty. It’s really close to the city so you can hear church bells and highway noise at times. I added a few photos.
