We tried to camp here on a Saturday night, but there was a gate that said “Prohibido Paso: Ejido Sonora.” So, we camped about 1/4 mile outside the gate on the driveway secondary to the main road approaching the gate. No one bothered us, but all night, trucks with drunk guys were going in and out of the gate, probably going to and coming back from the bar. It was hard to sleep with all the commotion.
Report Check-InArrived by bicycle, sand required some serious bicycle pushing but otherwise a really nice convenient spot hidden from the road. Plenty of space and level ground for lots of tents.
Report Check-InNice spot in the mountains. The ground is very soft sand, so we didn't drive all the way in. Our van isn't a 4x4, and we didn't want to push it. We stayed in sight of the highway. If you have 4 wheel drive keep going!
Report Check-InVery sandy. I think you need a 4WD. We decided to not try with our 2WD van.
