quiet night. look at the mountain, no sights because of the renovation and blue plastic.
Report Check-InStill some construction happening, but not overly annoying or loud. We had a nice quiet night here! Hot tip - if you continue upstream for a few km, there’s a nice pullout spot and we found some hot springs bubbling into the river to sit in! Nice spot for breakfast or lunch. We also went to the established hot springs at 6:30pm for an hour and had the place to ourselves, 10 soles.
Report Check-InStayed with our campervan for two nights. Felt safe enough to leave the van during the day, while we were cycling.
Constructions at the termals are still ongoing, but it doesn't cause a big issue.
Nice and quite place. Currently, construction work is taking place in the spa and therefore many construction workers are running around in the morning.
Report Check-InWe stayed 3 nights here, nobody bothered us. During the day very busy, starts already early in the morning. We only went in the thermal baths the 3rd day, enjoyed it a lot! Still 15 PEN pp.
Report Check-InParked behind the Church. Pretty hidden from sight. Nobody bothered us. Free.
Report Check-InEnjoyed the thermal baths (15 S pp) and spent the night in our truck camper at the river. Drive by the little church and halfway down to the river, peaceful and safe.
Report Check-InGreat spot, however the water is way above 40 degrees. The place is very nice and the showers as well!
The only thing I would add is a pit of cold water for the hot days
we stayed here for one night well hidden behind the church. felt very safe the first night.
next morning we hiked (for free) towards Tuti and took a colectivo (3 sol pP) back to Plaza de Armas in Chivay. in the afternoon we took a bath in the clean thermal baths (15 sol pP, free shower) but we saw from the baths how people started to show interest in our van. at some point we returned to our van but it was too much attention from weird people so we decided to leave.
we spend the second night at the police station
Report Check-InThis place is in wrong location - it is located at -15.61504, -71.58652
Report Check-InThe previous description is on the wrong place. S15.36 W71.35 is the wright place. Entrance for tourists is 15 soles. 5 pools between 37-40 degrees
Report Check-InWe stayed here several nights behind the church to do some day hikes. It is a very quiet place. At the cow sign before the thermals there is a way down to a small free hot pool. Some rare locals use it for bathing, we used the warm water for washing clothes.
Report Check-InAbove the "Termas La Catera" (3 km from Chivay) we were standing some days without any disturbances at nights. Outlook is great. The Termas are very hot but nice and there is a zip-line around the corner. Entrance fees for the Thermes were between 5 to 15 Soles, depending on which pool and on the beauty of it. Good for hiking as well.
Report Check-Inparked right infront of the gate, quiet night , no problems, but around 10 taxis arrived in the morning bevor 6am and parked next to us. would be better to park closer to the church.
Report Check-InVery good stay. You can park behind and not too close to the entrance of the baths.
Payed S/. 5.--/P. entrance to use one pool and the shower. Pretty clean and ok...
15 soles to use the baths. No problem with parking up for the night.
Report Check-InMagnificent staying for the night in beautiful surroundings overlooking the spa. Toilets and showers at the spa, or no infrastructure. Free admission spas Soles 15.--/Person. Peruvian Soles 3.--/Person pay, but tourists are not allowed in pool. This is cleaned every 2 days and freshly filled.
Entry into Colca Canyon 70 Soles per person outrageous -. The road is in very poor condition and we would also have to book a tour.
