Mexico
This is a large lot behind the Pemex station on the east side of hwy 15 immediately north of the large interchange at the north end of town. (the junction to El Fuerte) It is no longer a Chinese restaurant but it has a distinctive red pagoda in front. Go the rear and turn right and there is a huge dirt/grass lot you can dry camp in. They will charge you maybe 70 pesos. It is secure, as the area in front of it is used overnight by semis. We have fit a 15 rig caravan in there. In Spring 2016 it was accessible from both directions, but with the new construction I observed southbound in 2017, it may only be accessible northbound. Copper Canyon RV park is apparently closed, so this is an alternative.

The GPS coordinates are wrong. They take you to the El Feurte Hwy. The closed Chinese restaurant is on hwy 15, just north of the chevron station. The fellow behind the locked gate would not open the gate. We went to the right and parked our m/h under a large tree for the night. No reefers, only highway noise. Also no fee.

The fellow behind the locked gate would not unlock the gate to gain access to the field. We parked to the far right under a tree for the night. No reefers, only hwy noise. no camping fees.
Spent a noisy but safe night here, in between a couple of big trucks. I went in the Chinese Restaurant entry, then around the back, which seemed to be a parking area for big trucks. Nobody came around to ask for money. There was some noise from the Pemex station, and loud music somewhere nearby (Saturday night), but I was happy with a secure place for the night!
