Description

Beautiful place in front of the lake with a great view to the Torres del Paine. Came here after the Ranger forced us to drive on at Laguna Amarga. We were able to see some Condors flying around. Busy in the morning, as every tourist bus stops here.
No facilities.

The road is under construction- not possible to park here. Looks like it will take a while.

Report Check-In

Nice place with great view, windy as expected. There are works on the road in progress so that it is closed, and there is another, gravel road on the side of it, opposite to this site. We were able to cross but i guess at one point that won't be possible when the workers reach this area. Nobody minded for the moment, noise in the morning but starting at 8, that's ok!

It’s a good place to spend the night if visiting the National park. Great views of Torres Del Paine across the lake and if the sunrise is good, perfect very nice lighting on the towers. The southern wind shelter smells like pee, however. Can we all just do our ‘business’ further away please?

Report Check-In

Right by a highway, which for us had traffic (high beam cars) even late into the night, so it’s not great for rooftop tents or tents. We got here late so couldn’t go somewhere else. Slow 3g entel connection. View is average - go laguna azul for better views, big open grassy space to camp that is at least 1-2 km from the main road. Don’t recommend this place unless you have to make an emergency stop

Report Check-In

Wow! Such a fantastic view. We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy the view on the Towers from there.
Quiet windy, but the sheltered miradors were perfect to cook and hide a bit from the wind. Absolutely no traffic at night. You probably can use the shelter to put a tent, but the floor is uneven, there's gap between the wooden boards.

Came here after the ranger told me camping is not allowed at Mirador Lago Almaga due to safety reasons (Puma found in this area). Perfect place for sunset. I was set up my tent inside the shelter after 10pm when it's dark and left before 6am to national park. No wind when i was there. I traveled with motorbike.

paramos para apreciar o lago, uma parada que vale a pena, tem um refúgio se precisar se abrigar . mas não tem portas.

Beautiful spot before T.d.P. national park - worth a photo, or a good place to spend a night before entering the park the next morning. Expect lots of tourist buses to stop by, too..

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot with a nice view! Best for sunrise/ sunset. Slept in the car, no problem, just before started the o circuit. You even find small shelter from wind and rain. Max. 20 Min to the entrance of the Nationalpark.

We slept here two days in a row, when visiting the Tores del Paine park. It‘s great, if you don’t mind the occasional car / tour bus driving by / stopping at the view point. If the weather is nice you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Tores del Paine mountains as well as a beautiful sunset.
On our way to the park we even got lucky and saw a puma, close to the entrance :)

We came here for breakfast. was great. 2 cabins as shelter for the wind. Cofee was quick made :-)
It was cloudy, so we didn't see The Torres del Paine from there.
Nice spot

Vue sympa ,calme la nuit.Un peu de vent.Reveillé des 8 h avec le passage des bus.

The location is a little bit more in direction of the park. We stayed when we leave torres del paine. Nice view on lake and mountains. Windy and busy during the day. But ok for a night.

Report Check-In

Fine place to spent the night. Had beautiful view of the torres massiv in the Morning. You can park behind the shelters to protect a little bit from the wind but when we were there the wind fell asleep in the night anyways. Bikers can put up their tent inside the shelters. First bus with tourist arrived at 6:30 in the morning but we were up anyways. If you drive in the park before 8 you can park your car at the hotel and save 1,4K of the hike to the Torres Laguna.

Report Check-In

Very windy place. We have our dogs with us, so there is no other option close to the park, except the entrance station. 5 stars for the view, 1 star for the wind.

just wanted to add that tour busses start arriving at about 8:00 am and then it's a very steady stream. paying to enter the park us up to you but it seems like there are VERY few rangers of any kind. no one will check your tickets or ask you to stop your car at the entrance. normally we are getting happy to pay fees but thus place is far too expensive and we found the facilities to either be totally lacking (toilets, trail conditions, zero etc) or run by private businesses anyway. I'm not sure where the fees go

the last spot before the entrance which officially doesn't say no camping (besides the small riverside spot a but further on). wind protection from two small shelters and a nice view but nothing else.

Report Check-In

Windy spot with nice views but you can take shelter in 2 small shelters for tourists.

Stopped here for one night (in a campervan) on my way into the park. Was pouring with rain and very windy when I parked up, but woke up to beautiful views of the Torres del Paine in the morning. Left at about 7.30 in the morning before all the tour buses arrived and found it a good, quiet place to stay. Not too much road noise.
