AVOID!!!
We went there after the great and “cheap” experiences we had with Iveco in Argentina. We wanted to do a check up and examine a few new noises after 12’000km, focusing on breaks, oil and filters replacement. They sent us an estimate proposal for the work to be done for the above mentioned for 3’079’000.- CLP (4’500.- US$) !!!!!🤨🧐 you don’t even pay that in Switzerland!!!! I called them because I was so surprised of the price and they said “we can’t give you a 100us$ estimate and then realize it will be 1’000$ or more”. The problem is that if you don’t agree with their proposal, they don’t check your truck so you’re basically agreeing to leave a blank check for oil and filter change and a check of vitals... 🤓
Had a problem with our gear change. Tried to adjust the gears 5 and 6 but failed. Worked an hour but didn't charge us anything. Thought it is an internal issue of the transmission and gave us an appointment 8 days in the future.
By accident we found a broken spot and went the next day. The took the shaft out, welded and strengthened it, fixed 2 smaller issues as well and charged us for 3.5 hours of extremely good work and a liter of gear oil 72,000 Pesos. Not bad at all!
With an IVECO the place to go, but they are very busy. Beginning of 2018 they will move 4 km further out of Santiago still on the 5. The new area will be 6 times bigger than the current and this is already not a small place!
It's not allowed to stay overnight within their property, so in case it needs more than a day a hotel is required.
