Okay for cyclists. There’s some hollows in and around the river bed that provide wind protection and it’s incredibly quiet. It’s not amazing but it’s not bad either. Loads of those hellish spikey plants.

wonderful but windy. Beautiful lake color. No problem with our box van. Lots of pretty rocks, too.

It is also possible to take the tracks down to the beach; better view of the mountain range W of Lago Argentino, though no wind protection whatsoever.

Great location between El Chalten and El Calafate. Great views of the lake, as well as amazing sunset and sunrise. Used the lake to replennish our water supply. Beware that it is very cold though! (something to do with that gaint ice cube further West). Found a cow's skull in the field, which I placed along the side of the road for the next visitor to appreciate :)

We cae to this one to grab the nearby geocache. This spot is beautiful and peaceful as mentioned. However, if you are in a tent or have dogs, beware of skunks living in the grass and bushes of the ravine.
To the next visitor- sorry for the lingering smell! Want a dog?

Amazing spot with cell reception on the way from El Chaltén to El Calafate! Great views over the lake and enough space for Campers. Tent also possible, but the surface is not great.

What a beautifull spot this is.
Very quit and a view on the lake and El Calafate at the other side of the lake.
If you have arg. sim you even have connection and data.
Please keep this spot clean!

What a beautifull spot. Out of the wind, in the evening sun and dinner with a view on the lake.
We had 3g connection here. So internet was possible. El Calafate at the other side of the lake had strong signal!
Please keep this place clean.

enjoyed this spot in our campervan. little wind and easy access without glass everywhere. Take dirt road with a sign for two small towns and a hostel. saw one car at the time we were here. suitable for all campers including big vehicles. Road is washboard in some sections, follow for 1km or so.

Very nice spot with a good shelter from wind and Ruta 40. Just go in for around 1km on the gravel road. Nice view on the lake.

Indeed very nice view but only stayed 10 mins because the spot is infested with sun flies. Would have spent the night otherwise.
