Latest Check-Ins

50,000 pesos for two people in a van parked outside. Very tight for a Ford Transit van. They had to use a broom to push the electric cables up for us to fit (2.7m high) and now we have live cables resting on the van… pretty dangerous.

Loud music til 11pm. Pool was gross the first day but cleaned the second. Constant smell of sewage and trash all over parking. Overall, not recommended.

Acampamos en el estacionamiento fuera del Hostal, pero usamos los baños, wifi, restaurante y mirador por 50.000 cop por 2 personas y la motorhome. Muy buena ubicación.

Report Check-In

Wanted to stop there for a drink, was told no parking unless one pays 5000 cop plus no entry into the bar unless another 5000 cop and no parking in the court of the hostel apparently reserved for motorbikes.
Part of the entrance can be discounted from consumption.
Too much complexity for us, fed up, we left immediately .v
Very disappointing .

Roberto was accommodating and the views are great. A little noisy with the bar/restaurant next door but that closes around 11 PM. He had us park right outside the entrance bc there were cars in the way and said we could come inside later if we wanted. He ensured us it would be safe either way.

Report Check-In

Fernando (owner) and Roberto (worker) were suuuper friendly and accommodating people. The way up to the Mirador is a bit steep but doable for any type of vehicle. The view is amazing. We paid 25k/p, got a discount cause we stayed for a week. Cold shower, toilet, 110v power outlets, you can use the kitchen of the campsite if needed. The bar and restaurant are a popular hangout so it can get busy and loud but there was never music after 11pm. Smaller rigs can camp on site, bigger ones could have a spot in front on the small parking lot. Super close to town! If you come from Taganga, take the very first right in town, and immediately right again, then drive for about 100m, first one to the right and then up there's the hostel.

Tres bel endroit acces difficile hauteur maxi 3 m et 4x4 de preference mais la vue est magique. Sanitaires propres et pratiques un bar tres sympa et un restaurant avec une pizza top. Vraiement a faire si ca passe. 20 000 /pers. Accueil excellent ! Wifi correct

Report Check-In

Access is tight with a large rig (ours is 6.3M) and height limit even with brooms holding the electric wires of 3.3m. View is stunning. Pizza is great

Report Check-In

We drove up to this place with our RV (3.2 m height), needs some good driving skills and the help of other people, as there are wires hanging low.
Parking isn't large, but ok for one or two RV.
Pizza is delicious, absolutely a must. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Shower with cold water and Wifi (slow) available. In the evening, many locals come to the bar (music till midnight). The place has a amazing vista.

Nice small camping that fits around 3 vans, amazing view! Nice bar and restaurant (the restaurant was closed the night we were there). But it looked good. Cold showers and we didnt asked for electricity. Good wifi, and a very friendly owner. Nothing bad to say about this place. Entrance is a bit small but with some good driving you can enter.

Description is still valid. It is all there. Good pizza’s.

Report Check-In

Good vibe here chatting it up with the Colombian travelers. It's also a pizzeria. The locals invited us to play Ultimate Frisbee which was good times. If I could travel back in time I'd ask the pizzeria to not play music starting at 7:30 am, they might have agreed. A nice view on Santa Marta. Bathroom is passable. shower is fine. they're building a pool.

Don Fernando asked for 20pppn but I counter offered 15 and he said ok.

Stayed here 4 nights. Great space and great view over Santa Marta. We have a rig of 2.90m and was a bit of a squeeze as the entrance was a bit tight but doable. Once in, enough space for 2 or 3 cars. The space Monty beside it was too tight to fit. Great zip lining and staff

Report Check-In

Based on iOverlander reviews we intended to go to Mar y Monte. The slot they had left was too small, no way to get in there (Sprinter). So we asked Mirador, they were helpful and nice: we have a nice slot at their parking, with an INCREDIBLE VIEW right from our van. Facilities are clean, but could be more. The estate has beautiful cozy spots to enjoy the views. Had a vegetarian dinner, which was good. Very fast WiFi. Totally recommend this place. The sunset over Santa Marta was breathtaking. kCOP 15 pppn.

Nice little hotel run by a very attentive lady, small place to park your rig, 1 or 2 cars maximum. The views are great, electricity available, good WiFi, short walk to Minca. Dog friendly, there are a couple dogs on property.

A bit rundown but still good for a couple of nights if you try to avoid the heat of Santa Marta. Great owner and the staff is mostly work away travelers.

Report Check-In

Great place, amazing views, good food, safe and away from Santa Marta heat. Super friendly owner and staff. Clean bathroom and price still 15,000 COP pp. Booked our Ciudad Perdida tour from Turcol in Minca and parked our camper for 5,000 COP/night while gone. Camped some more night after return. Sometimes the wifi was working.

Report Check-In

Overall a nice place, but we were a bit frustrated by a few little things. The owner offered use of the fridge for our things, but then fussed everytime we went to access it (its behind the bar counter). He said we could use the kitchen when he didn't need it, but then said later it cost 4000k per use. Then we asked if we could cook at the edge of the restaurant (the only spot with light) and he said no because it would upset the restraunt patrons (even though the restaurant was empty). Not big problems, but little frustrations that spoilt the experience. Access is most certainly only for smaller rigs. 15k pppn. view is great and we saw toucans here in the morning.

Comfortable place to stay with great view and a good breeze. 15k COP pppn.

Report Check-In

Nice garden, great views down to Santa Marta (especially at night), laundry service at COP 4.000 per bag (2-3 kg). Staff was very friendly, the owner Fernando was a guide for a long time and knows the area really well.
Don't miss the 6am bird tour by Jungle Joe (ask about it).

Report Check-In

Spectacular view. Nice staff and owner. 15k pp. fit our 6 m van no problem but had to lift a power cable to get in the gate. There is a Parqueadero in town that says 3000/dia looked nice and flat and grassy. Didn't find it until our last day but might be worth checking out. Special Brownies on offer when we here.

Endroit sympa à deux pas du centre de Minca avec une belle vue sur la vallée et Santa Marta 15000col/p. Emplacement pour 2 petits CC chemin d'accès étroit pentu et cimenté. Accueil sumpatique

Asked for 15,000/person and we didn't try to negotiate. Nice owners, great view, good wifi, some hammocks to relax in. Lots of cicadas that can be very loud throughout the day and night.

Report Check-In

Wonderful! Refreshing cold shower, clean bathroom, decent WiFi, good food and very nice owner. They charge us $10,000 per person. There is NO ATM in town. Get cash in Santa Marta before going up to Minca.

Report Check-In

No power for vehicles and no internet when we arrived. Nice location and excellent view and superb sunset over Santa Marta. Refreshing change after the hassle of getting our vehicle out of the port.

Report Check-In

Paid 15,000 per person per night. It was a tight turn getting in but we managed to back the van in. Nice view and friendly owners. A perfect place to stay for exploring Minca. Wifi is spotty.

Report Check-In

Plenty of room for Toyota Tundra and VW Van. We turned around in the tiny lot just beyond the Mirador entrance so we could make the turn in through the gate. Protective dog ( male) didn't even notice our wimpy female.

Report Check-In

Hospedaje above Minca with small campground. Space for 2-3 cars and some more tents. Walking distance to village. 12'000 Pesos n/P. Friendly owner.

Report Check-In

- 20.000 COP for the two of us (after short negotiation)
- wifi
- very clean overall, flushing toilet, shower, restaurant, nice views, super nice owners
- nice but protective dog on premises, could be problem if you have a dog
- pet parrot hangs out at the tree next to the restaurant and occasionally wanders around the place, dozens of hummingbirds around
- not much space for cars - two fit, three could be a problem, not for big rigs
- access is on a short rough and steep road
- DIRECTIONS: when you arrive to Minca, make a sharp right after Cafe Minca and then again on an intersection over some metal grates and up the hill. Mirador will be on your right.
- there is probably more options in the village itself (plenty of hospedajes, parkings, etc.), but this one is definitely recommended
