We have seen a huge colony of sea lions laying on the beach (7.11, around 2 p.m.), you can see the animals from really close
Report Check-InWe've seen a few hundred of sea lions laying on the beach in the evening (around 9 p.m.). All other spots marked on iOverlander were empty, this one has some information boards so I think this is the most common place for them.
The colony looks amazing, I would recommend spending there some time to get really close to the animals.
Report Check-InStill plenty of sea lions with their pups. Such a wonderful sight to get so close to them and to see them playing in the water
Report Check-Indid see some from this spot, only 500 m South. all fenced and i think you are prohibited to enter the beach.
Report Check-InAs of beginning of December, still hundreds of sealions (including pups) lining the shore. We got within about a 3-4m range (as close as we dare go to take a photo!) A bit of trash here and there. Stayed the night with no issues. Lovely sunrise.
Report Check-InA big colony with the babes was here when we came in October.
You can see them from really close.
They are still there - funny to watch them so close - but never underestimate theyr agility to move quickly. Locals make picknick between the sea lions (crazy...)
Report Check-InBig colony of Sea Lions right at the beach by the street w/ parking. A sign board says not to go down to the beach (prohibido bajar a la playa), but locals seem not to care, even make selfies with the animals- crazy. Do not follow their behavior, but enjoy the beautiful sighting and playful animals.
