Great location next to a seasonal river. Central basecamp for exploring the Ndoto mountains. The owner can organize hikes and 4x4/quad bike expeditions. Campsite has shower so and toilets. Potable water is available. Basic rooms are also available.

Beautiful location and great shade for setting up our kitchen. Steven the owner charged us KES 1000 per person per night for camping plus a guide to take us up to the water slides was KES 1000. There was no working shower at the time but thankfully it had rained a lot so we could shower in the neighbouring river. One clean pit toilet was available in the owners neighbouring compound.

Basic camp, but awesome scenery and staff. You park your car next to the river, under tree (shadow) on the sandy spot. You go to sleep after enjoying a campfire (they arrange this for you) and wake up with playing Monkeys, sound of bell of the camels and birds. It is a quite place.

We didnt ask for it but watchmen protect us, to stay at the fire closeby or car.
The owner (beautiful masai lady, with wearing a lot of beads.) came special to us to say hello and invite us to have a look in here village, on the other side of the river.

They asked 500 ksh per night for me. It's a nice place with showers and a clean pit toilet. Jackson spoke good English and was very helpful for arranging hikes, but is usually away at university. To hike Mt Poi you must drive west from town and up a valley (no road, try to follow local tracks) to a tiny samburu settlement. Park here ($). The old samburu man was a strong guide (2000 ksh down to 1500). Halfway up he demanded a community donation of 1500, negotiated to half. The hike is very difficult and very hot. From camp Jackson arranged two boys to guide me up the other mountain for 1000, which was also a great hike and still petty tough.
