We stayed here one night. It's a nice place but the owner is in the US right now. The lady who is renting said that they aren't listed as a campground and asked us to take it off the app. She didn't want any money, was helpful and even offered the hot shower in her apartment. She might just feel uncomfortable having strangers stay here as it is also not her place. There is another guy who lives here and he seemed to be used to campers.

this place is no longer open. the lady who runs the place gave up her license and will be converting loge to apartments

Nice spot near Monteverde and the Monteverde cheese factory. From the campground you have a nice few in the forest and we even saw Tucans in the morning. You can use the kitchen and all kitchen facilites, as well as the common area. We also charged some things inside. The bathroom has a toilet and a hot shower and they are very clean. Wi-Fi reaches the campground and is pretty good. As said before there is no electricity on the sites. We payed 5500 colones/10$ for two people in a car.

A very nice place for staying in Monteverde. We stayed three nights and enjoyed it a lot. You park on a nice meadow in the garden of the lodge. The lodge is closed and being refurbished by Derek but you can use the common area, kitchen and bathrooms. Derek can also give you tips about activities in Monteverde. Hot showers, wifi. No electricity at sites but you can charge all things in the common area and use the fridge. 5 USD per person per night.

Report Check-In

I cannot say enough about how much my friend feel in love with this place. Derek is running the place and very friendly. The sign says 'closed' but you are able to camp for a small fee. Close to Monteverde Reserve and walking distance to a grocery store

Report Check-In

It's run down but has a nice vibe and they are in the process of making it nice again. However 8USD pp and no electricity was not very attractive so we went to Monteverde coffee center down the road which was free

Report Check-In

We paid 5$pP to sleep in the camper. It's a run down place. Very dusty in the dry season. But this was the only option for us in town. Wifi from nearby Yoga center. Didn't try it.

C'est le seul endroit où on peu stationner avec un CC, douche chaude WC wifi 8$ par personne. Endroit super sympa.

Report Check-In

its okey for a night, but $8/person is too much, there are a lot of flies around and its very dusty because of the road near by, stay there if you dont have other options

Report Check-In

Yes, you still can camp here. If you cannot find a better place in the area. First I was here in 2003. Then it was a really nice place. Now it´s only a place. We paid 5 US$ per night and person.

Report Check-In

Didn't stay but only because there was a birthday party going on there that night and we were very tired. Looks like a great place to stay. Camping and rooms with wifi and showers. Quoted $5 pp to camp

Camping behind the lodge on a grassy field. The lodge itself is closed and the owner went to Paris. Most doors are open and you can use the showers. There is still power and hot water. The WiFi isn't working anymore. There is a Lady living in the house next to the lodge, she "maintains" the place and asked us for a few dollars for camping.

Report Check-In

The lodge was officially closed when we stopped in, but the gringo caretaker was there and said we could still camp in the grass lot. Charged us $10 for a couple and allowed us to use the bathroom and hot showers (with their towels) in one of the rooms. Wifi was very bad (only Facebook and Whatsapp worked).

Report Check-In

Nice spot in grassy field behind lodge. Nice views. Woke up to cattle munching on grass around the rig. Owners very friendly and helpful. Clean bathroom with warm (not hot but warm) water. We paid $8 per person.

Report Check-In

large flat grassy area, most vehicles will fit. 8USD per person per night (but they asked for 10 to another non Spanish speaking couple) and 7 USD per electricity (we did not use it). Bad internet if at all and low pressure hot water showers. Great location for visiting Monteverde, although far away from everything else

Report Check-In

$8 per person per night. Fairly secure for motorcycles (no night security guard but seems safe). Hot water showers with good pressure. Good inside area with tables and chairs and good wifi if need to get some work done. Beautiful view from camp area. Large fire pit.

Report Check-In

The Campground was muddy. We had to park in the parkinglot and had to pay also 8$ per person. Was not worth.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay with fast internet and hot showers. Cost $8 per person. We did the night hike at nearby Curi Cancha Reserve and enjoyed it. Rafael was a wonderful guide.
