ADMIN NOTE:
from user: "we wanted to sleep here but at night a friendly man come ( seems to be a patrol) and tell us the palm grove is not safe anymore now. he recommends us to move to pemex or in the downtown what we did"
Level, sandy, shady, quiet, free. Under the palm trees of the San Ignacio oasis. About 1km from San Ignacio centro. About 100m off the access road from highway 1. Big rigs might want to stay closer to the road.

Agree with one of the comments below - if you don't have a 4wd the road is too sandy - and the area that is more accesible is too visible from the road. Didn't stay.
Report Check-InA great place for a quick hard landing camp. Relatively quiet outside of the frogs and a little neighborhood music. Room for plenty of vehicles, large or small.
Report Check-InA little south from where the original poster camped. There's a narrow sand road going in and then turning right. Completely hidden from the road. A much better spot than the 2 pay places by the lagoon that we first tried!
Report Check-Ina patroll came at night and said the palm grove is not safe anymore. he rrcommands to moove to pemex or downtown what we did
Report Check-InOr you need a small 4x4 on the sandy narrow track or you are very visible from the road. We didn't stay.
