Latest Check-Ins

Crossed the border with the Nzerekoré - Man bus. Border a bit slow due to number of passengers but officers were nice and professional.

BE CAREFUL after the main immigration bureau, we had to do another stop just before the bridge crossing to IC. There the officers were super strict about not having your phone out - if you do they threaten to bring the phone back to headquarters... So phones in pockets !

As described below-an uncomplicated and easy (but rather slow) boarder post (heading from Guinea to Côte d'Ivoire).
Very friendly officers, no bribes requested.

From Guinea to Côte d'Ivoire.
Very friendly officers :) I came here by bus so it took a while to get all the passengers' papers checked, but otherwise no problem at all getting stamped out. And just like for the traveler who commented below (who seem to follow the same road as I am, only with a month of difference ^^), they even gave us bananas and water while we waited 🙂. We arrived there pretty late (6:45 pm), but everything was still open. Hopefully the Ivorian side will be as well ^^.

Guinea -> Ivory Coast:
Guinea side easy and no worries, they want the Entry Visa (we had no stamp on it) and the passport. Took a while, but no questions or negative response.
After about 15 Min. of writing things in different books, we got our passport ( and the entry visa) stamped out and could go.
Friendly at all Times.

Guinée => cote d'ivoire. Easy although SLOW crossing if you come with the bus. I got the sticker in Conakry, and they seemed almost confused that I didn't just have the paper with the stamp. No issues- nice guys that didn't ask me for anything. They also fed everyone from the bus, passing out water, then bananas, then candy while we waited :)

Guinea -> CDI
Quite quick and easy.
Just had a copy of our eVisa's and a stamp in the passport from a rural Guinean border.
No problems.

Entering Republic of Guinée

Super friendly officers, didn't ask for anything except to see the e-visa.

They didn't ask for any copies, neither they told that we need to go to Conakry to print the visa or something like that.

Just stamped our passport and let us through.

Super nice.

No problem being stamped out. Very friendly and funny staff! We had our visas printed in our passports but no entry stamp (as the entry stamp was on the visa we gave at the airport) and no problems at all!

easy border on my way out to Guinee.
friendly people, no issues.

Best immigration ever ahah the two guys were super funny and friendly with us. Stamped out our passeport quickly. I asked about the information saying you absolutely need the official printed visa in your passeport (that you can make in Conakry), well they said you don’t need it. If you only have the visa you printed by yourself to enter the country (out of your passeport), they will let you out of Guinea with no problem. So don’t worry if at the Senegalese border they tell you that you have 5 days to go to Conakry for the official printed visa, well they actually don’t care so take your time to enjoy Guinea :)

Report Check-In

Friendly and easy. No problems exiting Guinea with printed paper of online visa (not visa sticker in passport).

Immigration Office. Friendly staff. Stamped our passport to go out. Stamped our Laisser Passer for Ivory Coast. He checked our driving licence and carte grise. That's it !

In the next village, Guela, another team will check all the documents (Passports, Carte grise, CPD, Laisser Passer)
Also, last place to change your GNF for CFA with a good rate !
