Description

This is the trailhead to the Arizona hotsprings. The whole loop is 10km, 500m high difference. Some parts are a bit climbing.
We really liked the hot springs. You also can camp there with tents.

Latest Check-Ins

This spot is O.K. but is not suitable for an overnight because it is very close to the hwy. and is also FAR from flat. The trail to the hot springs is long and grueling and there is little signage. It may be 2.5 miles but feels more like 10. I never actually made it all the way as my dog refused to continue and I fell and got all bloodied up, even though I am a experienced hiked and had hiking poles and hiking shoes. Good luck to you.

Parking lot.
We did not sleep in here but we hiked to the hot springs and was worth it!

Report Check-In

I can’t believe no one has commented how NOT flat this lot is. It’s got a pretty significant tilt to it. We are in a van and don’t carry leveling stuff.

A bit of a tough hike to the springs but definitely doable. Bring lots of water. Trail closes May15

Report Check-In

Parking lot, paved access from the highway, with enough space for 20-30 vehicles, including trailers and RVs, with a turn around area.
No facilities or drinking water.
You can hear and see vehicles on the highway. no direct head lights affect you. but trucks can be loud with some of them engine braking.
Can see stars fairly clearly. Light pollution from LV area ruins it.

2 bars AT&T LTE good internet.
To drive into Horse Thief Trail area, the you will require a higghh clearance vehicles as the pavement ends at the end of the parking lot, and the gravel roads has been washed out a bit

Report Check-In

I stayed in the huge paved parking lot last night. There were several others overnighting here as well. Once traffic dies down in the evening it's fairly quite. There are no signs prohibiting camping here.
