*CLOSED* Super friendly and helpful but unfortunately they only have the shop in Barranquilla now. Hernando went out of his way to help us with a small problem with our car right before closing the shop. Highly recommend his services if you're going through Barranquilla and need some work done!

Report Check-In

Hello Overlanders, As of November 30 of 2016 iguana 4x4 in Bogota is no longer in business. The shop in Barranquilla will continue to operate normally.

Report Check-In

They did some work on the suspension and got someone to do some first class bodywork on the van.

Report Check-In

We had play in the drive line of our Land Rover. They located the problem in the transfer gear and brought the gear box to the Land Rover specialist in town. After a day the gear box was back and could be reinstalled - problem solved! We could camp right in the workshop for the hole time.

Report Check-In

We had them do a timing belt, water pump, oil change, rear brakes, and install a permanent stove. They specialize in fabrication and the stove turned out great. Timing belt went pretty well. They forgot to mount exhaust all the way, and didn't tighten oil dipstick enough. Like anyone you have do work just double check their work behind them. I may recommend doing more complicated jobs at dealerships / specialists. Timing belt went okay but I brought all my own materials and lent them my torque wrench.. Staying in the shop is a definite plus, and Bogota likely has anything you may need.

-very nice people
-parked the car 2 month for 120 dollars
-be sure to be back at 6, if not you have to find a hotel. And the traffic is crazy at this time, took us 1,5h from the centre

Report Check-In

Got a couple of new tyres and had the oil changed, plus stayed there one night.
Note, can only stay there Monday night to friday night inclusive because the shop is close noon Sat to am Monday.

There specialty is off-road accessories but being in the middle of the automotive sector of the city, they can source most parts and if necessary, facilitate specialist work done at other shops.

Turn is is tight, street is narrow and bigrigs MUST watch the cables low over the footpath.

Friendly. Worked on our car right away. Accept credit cards. Jesus runs the shop. Phone ahead if possible: (1) 7968795 or 7968601.

We first went to Iguana in Baranquilla and the guys there very kindly offered to let us park our Jeep at Iguana in Bogota when we travelled by plane for 2 weeks. When we returned, Jesus at Iguana Bogota ordered & installed a sweet rooftop tent made by Carpas Anaconda in Medellin for us. They also did a great job changing our brake pads and caliper at a great price. These guys are the best ever for overlanders and off-roaders!

I can't say enough about this place. They dropped everything they were doing And worked on my truck for three days. I outfitted my truck with Geri cans, some KC lights, a real recovery point on for the front, and fixed my shock mount. I stayed in the garage for free with my dog. I highly recommend this place. Great custom fab work.

These guys did some good suspension fabrication work for me and let us stay the night in their shop. Very reasonable price too. Highly recommended.

Head here if you have trouble with your rig. They are super friendly and helpful. They also let us camp on the shop but you can't leave at night, have to be back before 6:00 pm.
