Something not right?

Description

Busy 24 h Pemex gas station with "vigilante" on the toll road M40D passing Tula direction San Juan del Rio/Querétaro. Many trucks stay over night. No costs. Toilets are clean and also free. There is an OXXO shop, The Italian Coffee Company and many people who sell local food right from the marmita... Not sure whether there is WiFi in the shops. We did not try it. We stopped here for one night before heading to San Miguel de Allende the next morning.

No issues staying the night. Many other people sleeping in vehicles and trucks. The toll road exit definitely was not happy my ticket was from the previous day though.

Ok place to sleep, we asked and said it was safe and ok to sleep in your van. We parked the van in the four parking spots just right of the buildings. Wasn’t super bad with the running engines of the trucks and felt quiet safe.

Stayed one night as i made my way north. Safe place with security guard all night. Free to stay and use bathroom. Has coffee shop with wifi. It is a bit loud with truck engines running.

I spent one night. Safe and quiet. Alert: The employees are very well organized, trying to rob you of the gas transaction. I wanted to pay with my debit card (bank of Mexico), and after 3 attempts, the bank terminal refused my transaction. The employee said it was because the intenet was not good. He even gave me a cancellation ticket. So I paid him in cash, telling him that I would immediately check my bank account if it had happened. I made sure he was working all evening. Less than an hour later, my 1st bank transaction had indeed passed into my bank account. I went to see the employee, he saw that I was in a very bad mood. I requested a refund immediately. He told me to wait. I saw him pass behind the employees' building and speak to one of his friends, and I saw him taking the money out of his pockets ... and not from the cash drawer! When he came back, he handed me all my money, and I made him understand that I knew what he had done, and I pointed at the police who were right in front of me. He understood. I told him, I didn't want to have any problems for the night I would spend here with my 40 'RV. Everything ended well. Be very careful, as Pemex and some of their employees are becoming more and more cunning.

Stopped in for the night. The night guard was friendly and suggested just parking in the front of main the shops. The coffee shop said the wifi was not working. Busy spot wth buses arriving constantly. It will do just for sleeping and moving on the next morning. Not a pleasant vibe here. Staff in oxxo and coffee shop extremely rude. Electric plugs available in the coffee shop.

Great place to stop for overnight. High-altitude desert so nights are cold and no mosquitoes. There is a nice coffee shop that opens at 8 AM it’s a very good bonus. Lots of trucks in this parking lot but you can find a corner for yourself like we did not hear them too much. Very safe and secure with police and security around 24 seven.
