Amazing place, amazing view
we had a good night (was almost full for the night right after the eclipse) with a great view
not recommended for trailers or above 30feet
a really good spot on our road to big bend national park

Report Check-In

Entirely paved rest area with no facilities, just a few covered picnic areas. Amazing views of the Pecos River and the High Bridge. Good cell service (at least with AT&T) Big rig trucks use this area too, so be mindful of space as it can fill up.

Great place to stay with scenic view of the bridge and river Trash cans and picnic areas. We’re in a Promaster and backed into a spot with our back windows overlooking the amazing view of the river and bridge. This area isn’t really set up for larger rigs There was one other camper towing a 24’ trailer with pull-outs which couldn’t fit in any of the spots and parked horizontally along the looped roadway. Could get by them but if there were two like this it probably wouldn’t work. AT&T was one bar and weak but worked a little better boosting. There is also a water spigot/trash/bathrooms available just down the road at the ranger station/boat launch.

Absolutely beautiful!! Love hearing the goats in the valley.

This spot is phenomenal, after hiking the Seminole canyons I spent 2 days here, the view is like Seminole right out the back door of the van. Spotty cell service. But there is plenty of room for multiple campers. I recommend getting a shower at the Seminole campground. They have nice showers and you can drive up to them and park for free

Awesome view. We just stopped for lunch but would be a quiet place to spend the night.

Report Check-In

Solid Stop! Pretty decent Overnight turnout with two other campers.

--> CELL SERVICE: I have Verizon and drive a small Van. Pro Tip. Park on the large Gravel shoulders on the loop road about 300 ft off the Hwy. Yes road noise is a little high, BUT my 4G was Blazzin. First I setup down by the loop, but no service at all. Usually I leave spots without service, but I made it work! 🙏 Wild.

Close enough to the border to watch the flashing lights along the wall.

Felt safe, no worries. a schoolie, class c and semi joined for the night

Report Check-In

Didn't stay but would be a lovely place to stay for a night with a view!

Report Check-In

Amazing, we were here alone, beautiful view, super dark, so quiet.. We slept in. Also we got decent cell service as a bonus.

Spent the night in my car on 01/19/23 on the way to Big Bend. Incredibly quiet, the road is a quarter mile away so traffic isn't loud, plus there's very little of it especially at night. Fantastic view of the Pecos River Bridge. Sunset over the river was gorgeous, so was the sunrise. Great photo opportunities in almost all directions. At night the area is completely dark, no lighting at all, and absolutely no noise except the very occasional truck crossing the bridge.

Note that I had NO CELL SERVICE whatsoever with Verizon, and this area is a hundred miles from nowhere so I wouldn't expect any other carriers to have service here either. Could be a good thing though- just you and your thoughts.

Report Check-In

Beautiful view. Only rv there for the night. Nice and quiet.

Report Check-In

As advertised. Got very windy but it kind of suited the spot well. Bonus is that I saw a black bear right up close and coyotes way in the distance across the river. Sunset and sunrise were pretty epic. The tables are actually pretty nice and there are some bbqs if you bring your own charcoal. No cops at all and no issues. We’re probably about 4 other rigs and some nice folks.
