Museo Minero De Tierra Amarilla | Tourist Attraction

Thanks so much for opening this location. It's a great Museum done with a lot of passion and big work by the community of the Geologicos de Minas. We were there alone on a Sunday and had the luck that the nice Geologico who was on Duty showed us around and explained. My Spanish is really only basic but he was polite enough to speak slowly. Regarding the previous comment: if you expect jewels and pink diamonds here...you are at the wrong place. If you are fascinated by this country/continent and are speechless of all those colours in the mountains, especially here in the Atacama and last but not least a fan of what stunnig things mother earth has produced in the last few millions of years it's a must to come here 😊. highly recommended!

I think only a mineralogist would like this museum. Exhibits under eaves have signs but none in the courtyard; so everything just looked like a rock.

Very nice and interesting museum. Collection of thousend different minerals in all colours and forms. very recommended. free entrance.
