Near road but almost no traffic. Other people was surfing and camping.
Just don't feel the donkey. If you do he will never go away.

Also known as Ship Wreck Beach. This used to be a great spot. Now it’s crowded with van lifers who spend weeks or months here. And it’s close enough to San Jose Del Cabo that the locals party here every night until 3-4 a.m. Add to that, 4-wheelers ride through at frightening speeds all day and night. Had to leave to get some sleep. Sad to see it go.

What a lovely beach! We stayed 5 nights and saw some gorgeous sunsets and nice long walks on the beautiful sand, along with whales spouting as they head west. We enjoyed the donkeys, goats, cows, friendly neighborhood dogs, and some roosters crowing...thankfully a couple dunes away.
Sand gets deep and soft quickly so scout your parking spot if you're a bigger rig.
The road in is washboard, and there's a lot of traffic going to construction sites and people's homes further east. The locals go down the road at probably 40mph to skim the washboard. There is also dune buggy/4wd traffic on the beach, but people seemed pretty considerate all told.
There are no toilets, and people having a day at the beach just went up into the dunes for their business, so watch out for that!

Surfers Beach - nice beach - gets busy on the weekends. Have to camp away from the water as the sand is soft.

Still free. Garbage and recycling cans have been removed, so prepare to dispose in advance of arrival. Three donkey’s here now.. one is a baby. Very cute.

If you’re in the mood for a spicy Mexican film, watch Y Tu Mama Tambien. It was recommended by another woman I met locally. Read the description first.. I loved it. Not safe for children. ;)

Spent 2 relaxing nights here. Garbage and recycling cans onsite. 2wd is fine here. No cell service. We watched the humpback whales for 2 days straight!

Stayed for two nights and it was perfect!!! Definitely a surf beach, but also popular with families on the weekends. We watched humpbacks breech for hours on end. Garbage on site. No cell service. FREE. The donkey is still alive and very persistent!!! Do not feed it!!

Shipwrecks surf beach or playa el cardoncita 2 per ZOFEMAT signs. Several options for parking on hard pack sand 2wd ok with great views for whale watching or possibilities for wind shadow. Can tuck away from the road in a couple spots. Plenty of soft sand so check things out well if you don’t want to get stuck. Great surfing with a few different breaks depending on the tide/swell and a friendly vibe from the real locals.

This beach is labeled as playa El Cardoncito 2.
We were the only people here for most of the afternoon. Snorkling was good on the right side of the beach. Speared us a fish for dinner!
The garbage cans were overflowing so we took ours with us to dump elsewhere.

great place, can drive directly on the beach, but careful soft sand. We just stayed at the beginning. Just one other camper overnight. Quiet on a Sunday. Trash bins provided.

Great beautiful beach ! Free. We parked with our 27ft in the flatspot just a few feet from the beach if you have a 4x4 you can drive right up. It still was an amazing spot and will return

pulled in late, set up down the beach a little with the jeep. Only one other car, windy but to be expected with the weather. the hotel down the way was shinning the beach but only for a bit.

Deux nuits sur cette merveilleuse plage où on se régale de la vue de baleines au loin qui se donnent en spectacle.

Very nice beach. We wanted to stay in san lucas del cabo but it was way to touristy for us so we headed here. Were so happy with our decision, right when we arrived we saw some jumping whales. We sat at the beach and could watch them for a long time jumping and playing. Goosebumps moment! There was just one camper there and we went swimming and made a fire in the evening. Some people with their ATV’s around, but not to many. Several other similar spots when you drive further.

Easy spot to park if you're running out of time, right by the road. Some expats had a movie night there but didn't stay for the night. There was also some cattle running around in the evening. Otherwise nice and calm spot.
