Godwana Zambezi Mubala Lodge Campsite | Established Campground

Had an excellent time here. Campsite #2 directly on the river. Nice restaurant and bar with good food. All campsites have their own ablution and kitchen block. Everything very clean. Fishing trip was also nice. Nice place to hang out and relax. Would definitely come again.

Lovely campsite on the banks of the Zambezi River. Grassy plot with private ablutions and shower, which were very clean, modern, and with power. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant food was excellent. The bar/pub overlooks the river - superb draft beer! The pool was clean and warm. Would highly recommend. They accept Gondwana Card and card payment. We paid NAD574 (without Gondwana Card) for the two of us in a roof tent.

Godwana Camp. We stand at Campsite 8. No river view. Good facilities with own bathroom and zink for the dishes.
Expensive rate at $N287 pppn.
We asked to be moved to campsite 2 which is a riverfront site but apparently it was booked. The site was open though and not occupied the whole day and night?!?!

COMPACT. EXPENSIVE. NOISY. WELL KEPT
Compact campsite on Zambesi with small pool.
Restaurant not charming, only standard pizza/burgers for high prices. WiFi at reception and pool. Boat trips offer little value (90 Min 325 N$ pp, no animals). Noisy as all tents/campsites are close to each other. Neighbouring loud irrigation pump in Zambesi running at campsite no 3 is running this morning, even though it is wet season. At 6:30 this morning 2 trucks wirh a trailor came to the campsite, 8 local people making lots of noise while putting the boat into the water next to campsite no 2. The manager was not even aware if these people coming from outside. It is unclear why security let them on the grounds. This campsite does not provide peace.
We very much preferred the cheaper and more attractive Chobe River Camp near Ngoma (also Gondwana managed).

Mubala Zambezi Lodge CAMP (the Lodge is more river up), Campsite and Tented Camps. The Tar Road is almost completed. Easy and quick access because of the new road.

10 camping spots with private bath (shower and toilet), sink and electricity & small terrace.

Camp No. 1 to 3 are nicely at the river bank <3

Swimming Pool and Bar Area. They offer activities as fishing or bird watching.

3G Signal with MTC.

Free WiFi is limited to 100 MB per day - one can get (expensive!) vouchers for extra MBs.

Firewood and ice available. Also the typical
Gondwana shop with curios and souvenirs.

Camping: 215 $ pppn.

Paying with credit card is possible.

They recently had burglars at night. Be aware and lock away your values at night. For groundtent campers that sleep deep and tight it’s recommended to padlock the zip from the inside (as the burglars tried to get into the tent at night). The management told it never happened before. But you never know...
