Nice place. Use of kitchen, washing machine, space for motorcycle maintenance, common room, bedrooms and yurts. WiFi not fast. Friendly staff and they speak English.

Report Check-In

The place is still there, but it is very deserted due to the lack of tourists. The restaurant is closed, the "staff deployment" is sparse - at least nothing compared to the past, but unfortunately the prices are very high...

Very good place for overlanders to stay in Ulaan Baatar. Close to city center. Supermarket and ATM in walking distance.
Friendly and helpful staff speaking english and german. Good and clean showers and toilets. Laundry service. Restaurant.

It's my second visite to Oasis Guesthouse (first time in 2013) and I still can highly recommend this place. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and modern sanitaries, good food and fair prices! You can still meet nice people from around the world, get updates on routes or just relaxe in the beautiful garden! Staying in the rooftop tent (Landrover Defender) cost for 2 person 50'000 MNT (19$) including breakfast.

Rip-off place par excellence! Good place for meeting other ripped off travelers and good for getting informations from other overlanders.
But the whole place is overpriced, they charge for everything more than anyone else in town.
Don’t stay in a yurt/ger as they are molded.
Showers and laundry are public and there is no closed door in between Guesthouse and public area, so theoretically everyone can just walk in.
Place is 6,5km out of town, traffic into town can take up to 1hr for that small distance.
Employees are not allowed to take simple decisions, they always need to call the owner abroad which leads to unnecessary delays and waiting.
Don’t even think of sending anything (like spare parts) to them as they will charge you for storing the parcel.
If you leave a bag there for a few days because you are going on a tour or so, the bag will also be charged for.
Internet speed is low.
Let’s find an other, better, cheaper place for overlanders in town and don’t support that ripp-off-place called Oasis any more!

Just to tell the prices change. Now in November 2018 the price are 45000 T per person in a room with breakfast and if you sleep in your car even two person it’s 50000 T without breakfast.

Excellent overlander place. Stayed here several times (in our camper).
Darima has been really helpful even though she had to run around all the time. A second Darima would be a good option :-)
Good coffee, sofas, tasty food, friendly travellers, hot showers, 24h fridges with drinks, ...
This place is a trap, you know when you check-in, but it's hard to leave ;-p

Nice place to meet people. Very cosy and good food

Great place, lots of nice overlanders to meet..!

Report Check-In

Best place in Ulaanbaatar to meet other travellers. The Japanese in-house mechanic moved to his own garage north of the city (added location).

Report Check-In

Good but not great. Maybe I've had too high expectations but my experience at this place was cold. If you are lucky you will meet other overlanders and that's nice, but if the place is not too crowded, it just feels not right. It is clean, with good ammenities, but again cold and distant. Owners were not available and the staff doesn't speak good English. We've had to wait almost 2 hours just to be able to pay. Too expensive for what is worth and you will find other guesthouses far more friendlier in Mongolia. So, next time in UB, I will not choose this place...
Also starting this year, Koji, the japanese mechanic that had a service next door has moved to the other side of UB, at a place called Fortec Garage.

We spent 3 nights here living in our roof tent.
Nice friendly place, good place to get updates on road conditions etc.
Clean and tidy showers.

Report Check-In

We stayed for 1 night, since it is kinda far away from the city centre, to fix minor things on our Defender. The garden and communal area is fantastic, internet is mwha, and parkingspaces for the car kinda small. Nice place to meet other overlanders.

Sleep in own vehicles, prices changed for 2018:
.Cars and vans: 40.000T (14€)
.Truck more of 6 meters: 50.000T (18€)
No breakfast included.
Laundary: 7.000T par wash machine.

Good garden and living room, but simple showers, and no present/warm staff.
It looks that staff wait for your spend money in meals and drinks.

Only good: you can meet any overlanders and see their differents vehicles.
There is a postal box.

Nothing special and expensive.
We spent 3 days in UB but only one here, showers and laundry.

Very good spot for campers. All services in the area and team Oasis very friendly.

Seems to be the place to stay for overlanders. We stayed in the car for 30000. Not the friendliest staff, no sink/stove/oven etc. It's ok but nothing special.

Report Check-In

Many options here with various costs. 28000 to 50000 depending on if you choose to share a ger or have a private room. There is also a mechanic and shop on site.

Report Check-In

Nice, cozy and clean place. A bit expensive, and the personnel was a bit pushy at times. We paid 30000 for 2 people sleeping in the car without breakfast.

They also have a great japanese mechanic right beside the guesthouse, he did an oil change for us and we only had to wait a few hours to get it done (there were lots of bikers who had crashed their bikes when we were there).

Still 30,000 tegriks for a car and 2 people camping. Clean, friendly...many overlanders here.
