I didn't want to wait for the main ferry as it was going to take a while. I put my bike on one of the local long boats. paid 10000 and they loaded it too. Although I rode it off myself at the other end as I wasn't happy having someone else ride it off. This was not a problem. I think the boats leave at half past the hour. Was a great experience and quicker and cheaper than the main ferry. Obviously not a viable option to you guys with rigs. Also, I only paid once on the boat and it was moving. They come round and collect so don't give cash to anyone else.
Report Check-InIf you have a big rig, you might want to arrive early. We turned up at 8.45am to find the ferry almost full with trucks. There was enough space for us (a VW Transporter).
Report Check-Inwe arrived 13:45 and drove directly on boat which left at 14:00. boat leave every two hours. last go at 16:00. we paid 25.000 for our van.
Report Check-InDon't pay any agents there are some now that try to get money by promising you a space on the ferry. It's a rip off.
