Coming from north make a sharp right turn at the first traffic light.
Talk to the guards and they call someone to assist you.

US$10 per bottle.
Btw. Nearby is Finca Sommerwind, a great place to relax.

Latest Check-Ins

Went there first time on a Friday at 15:00 there was no one available to receive the money. Guard told me to come back Saturday morning but had the same problem. I’m not sure if this was related to the closeness to Christmas. Ended up talking to Edwin on the phone (point next to this one) who solved my problem.

They work from 7am until 3pm and they were very kindly with us. We payed 15 dollars to fill our Brazilian 13kg tank.

Report Check-In

No nos pudieron vender, ahora es con chequera o algo así. Tienes que depositar al banco y al día siguiente te recargan el gas. Estaban estacionados los camiones que reparten los cilindros y no quisieron apoyarnos para vendernos.

GPS is spot on using google maps.

One tank and a half cost us $8. US tanks (not fixed).

The guard had us give our tanks to a propane truck driver who was going in to refill and he completed it for us.

Very easy. Took us about an hour in total with waiting for the driver to take them in and waiting for refill.

Easy. Would recommend.

Filled an 11kg German bottle, using an American adaptor we carry with us. Paid $10. No fuss. Took around 15 minutes.

The security guys here think they are decision makers. One kept insisting they don't do personal refills ( only commercial truck loads). If that happens to you , insist and don't give in. Ask them to call inside and check. Then it happens with no problem.
We had North American tanks

They did not want to fill up my european gas tank. They won't allow vehicles to drive inside their premises.

Report Check-In

We couldnt fill our fixed US tank, they have not the adaptors. We did it in ENi plano in Pifo, next to Quito. //// No pudimos llenar aquí nuestro tanque de gas que está fijo en nuestro RV de USA, ya que no tenían adaptadores. Si lo pudimos hacer en la planta de ENI de Pifo, que es cerca de Quito

Report Check-In

Actually, we have not been there, but we wish we would have known about this place, before we went through the hassle getting our US-style propane bottle filled (see our blog post of of 18 September 2015: shredair.blogspot.com). Apparently, finding places where they fill US-style propane bottles are very difficult to find in Ecuador, so any place which does it is important to know about.
