Yep, you can find almost everything here. Might need to visit a few different shops, but eventually we were successful in finding a thermostat. Friendly shop owners all up and down the street.

For the 1-2 hours we parked on the next street to install them 2 different persons stoped to tell us not to let the car there alone because there was a lot of robbery.
Paying parking 20 pesos/min just in front of where we were (Estacionamiento el Pimiento on maps me).
