Place changed location or name. Now is a place called El Refugio. 10k a night, looked nice, didn't stay. If you Google the old name you will get in touch with Backpackers Hostel, which is not as central, but nice for 5k

No hospitality. Had problems with the money exchange and they didn't offer help. The owners think that lending their computer 2 min for a Visa activation will give them a pc virus. The dorms wooden floor was noisy, not friendly for sleeping. The bed of a roomate collapsed during the night. One of the worst and most expensive nights ive experienced in my travel so far. its a shame that its unfortunately the cheapest in town.

Not recomendable.

the Price at beggining march 2020 was 800 pesos argentinos, 12 USD. check out is at 10 a.m.

Not bad but fare from realy good. wifi is weak, kitchen stuff is limited and old, no living room where to relax, very noisy until midnight every day. toilet and shower are in a sad condition..

the good things are the price (400ps) the nice owner and her funny dog, the fact that you can park bicycle and motorbike in the safe garden big locker in the dorm and the many other travellers

Still $400/night. The first night free promotion for cyclists is no longer available. The hostel is OK in it's value for money.

Report Check-In

Sadly they no longer allow camping and first night is no longer free for cyclists. However they were very nice and their prices are still competitive: 400 pesos for dorm bed, 1200 for private room shared bath. Parking for bicycles in locked backyard. Cash only, US dollars and euros also accepted.

A little grimy but very comfortable. 400 pesos for a dorm room.

Paula the owner might be the happiest person in Ushuaia. I visited 6 hostels before this one. Felt welcome only in this one. 300pp. Clean. Backpacker vibe. Left jeep in front of the hostel, nothing happened. Coffee available all day. Highly recommended. The best option in my opinion.

i ask for shower and Laura give me a free one, very kind and the shower was fabulous. only little water pressure but doesn't matter.

Laura is all a character, very relax and friendly. enjoy this place

Stayed here for 2 nights, went into the National Park for one night, then back here for another 2 nights. Paula on reception was very friendly and accommodating when we checked in. We paid $400 per person per night for dorm beds. It's quite expensive but we didn't find anything cheaper in Ushuaia. The dorms were fully decorated with wood giving it a very warm and cozy feel. The kitchen was OK, there are 2 separate cooking areas so it wasn't too busy when we wanted to cook. Tea and coffee are available for free all day. WiFi is really good, however, there isn't much space to just chill out in the evenings. Perhaps a living room/couch area would be my only improvement for this hostel.

Nice spot bit old but he' the first night was free for cyclist so score. You do have spend a second night ofcourse. We did go to another hostel after two nights. score.

Didn't feel welcoming from the owner but the girl who works at night time is really friendly and helpful. 200 pesos for camping 400 pesos for dorm rooms without breakfast and cash only, it's really really crowded at night time cuz lot of long term guests stay. 40 pesos per day for storage ur luggage. Honestly if they don't offer camping, I won't stay here. There is another hostel call hostel lupinos about 1.5 blocks away charge 420 per night including breakfast. It's a big hostel, like hotelish, reception is really friendly and accept maestro card only.

The first night for cyclists is for free (no joke). The next night in a dorm costs 350. Afterwards the rate drops. I stayed 5 nights and payed 1200. They also have limited space for a few tents, protected from wind. I guess it was 160 pp. Maybe the only hostel in Ushuaia offering camping. The owner Paula is a very friendly person. Disadvantages: the common space is very crowded in the evening. The bunk beds have no ladders (Paula tries to arrange less mobile guests in the lower beds). For some reason three of the for mens toilests cant be locked.
