What a stunning spot! Situated within a quiet, grassy corner of a Guesthouse with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Very unique and clean ablutions with hot water. Good WiFi, two swimming pools and braai facilities are also available. They also have a wood-fired hot tub now which can be booked at an additional cost and their Sundowner spots are best enjoyed with a cold beer or a glass of wine.
Absolutely worth the money. Hardy & Steffi are great hosts and their recommendations were spot on. We'll definitely be back.

We wanted to stay here and expected the weekend might be busy so I emailed in advance to make a booking.
The website states R300 per site, but they told me R500. I agreed and confirmed the booking anyway.
The next morning, after the booking was confirmed, I received an email to say that they’d had a walk in guest whose stay would extend into the weekend, so they no longer had availability for us.
Very disappointed at this unprofessional service.

They change their tarif and policy beginning 2024. It’s now 250 ppn and two nights minimum otherwise they don’t accept you at the gate.
It’s one of the most expensive campsite we had since 5 months, even if it’s very nice, clean and with swimming pool for us the price is now to high regarding the services.
Facilities :
- swimming pool
- flat grass
- shade in the morning and at night but not possible during the day
- no kitchen / shelter

Absolutely beautiful place, the gardens alone are stunning, 2 lovely swimming pools, clean and lots of shady areas to sit and relax. Perfect green grassy site, pick your own spot, 2 very nice bathrooms with hot, hot water. Extremely good wifi throughout the site. Lovely owners who are themselves experienced overlanders with really interesting tales to share. 150 rand per night, per person. We would come again! Also just to say amazing lemons from the tree!

Report Check-In

We paid 150 pp. Mid season prices. In our opinion, a bit steep for what you get but not many options in the area. The piece of grass they call campground is very small and sites are not defined so, depending of how many cars there is, it can get very crowded and unprivate. There was only 2 bathrooms for 10 people when we were there and there was some trafic jam in the morning and evening... Maybe they should limit the campground to 2 or 3 cars or make it bigger, there is so much land not in use !
It's a nice campsite otherwise, with working wifi, power, good hot shower... just too small for what they want to do.
Almost no MTN signal. No wifi during loadshedding.

Great hot shower, clean, 2 swiming pools, Wifi, quiet...
laundry is 150 per bag

Amazing place. Valley in the wine country. Some large trees, pool, campsite, very friendly owners.

Report Check-In

Hardy and Steffi are wonderful Hosts. Very nice place to stay. Explore several wineyards on Foot while going for a nice walk. The Ablutions are minimalistic but clean. Recommendation!

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet little campsite very close to Stellenbosch and all the wineries. Very friendly and helpful German owner, nice and clean ablutions, fast WiFi, nice pool. We will definitely come back!

Report Check-In

Very nice grassy campsite with electricity and Wi-Fi. Very friendly and helpful owner. He just built a nice secon toilet/shower room so if just 2 cars are there, you have your own private ablution. ZAR 200 pppn.

Report Check-In

Access not suitable for BigRig (trees) and very bad signposting.

Report Check-In

Very friendly helpful owner, grassy spacious sites, well maintaind abolution with hot water, can be a bit noisy at night because of the road nearby

Report Check-In

Amazing setting in Banhoek area- Stellenbosch, in between mountains and horse stables, very friendly owners - a place close to home for us, but feels far away

Report Check-In

As described a nice and safe campsite with large trees and bungalows, pool … Friendly and helpful owners, Hardy and Steffi, speak English and German. We stayed there several days with our truck and drove by Uber to CT and surrounding.

Lush, grassy Campsites featuring a simple, clean shared ablution with hot water, fireplaces & braai facilities, electrical plug-points, complimentary Wifi as well as access to 2 pools and large garden with several sundowner spots, offering great views of the mountainscape. The site is surrounded by tranquil vineyards and horse farms.

Report Check-In

It‘s really like this how it is described. Very clean ablution. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to campy. Super clean ablutions and always hot water. We are here the second time and enjoying the amazing view! You can do a Walking Wine Tour which is really nice. 100 % recommended!

Report Check-In

Nice small campsite located in the middle of a horse stud farm. We had a bit of an issue with flies but was not a big problem since we were out most days. Noise from helshoogte pass and road was a bit disturbing at night. Bathroom is awesome but will be problematic if the site is full. R400 is maybe a bit steep but it is in Stellenbosch which is a pricey area.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite in a beautiful garden. Pool, very fast wifi, grass, braai and very friendly owners. Unfortunately there is just one toilet and one (very hot <3) shower for four campsites. The max. people allowed on all four sites together is 8. But in the morning that can be a problem. Wasn't for us, because it wasn't fully booked. The ablutions are very nice though!
You can do a walking wine tour starting from the place.

A fabulous, homely, safe, green grass and welcoming Managers make this one of the nicest camp sites in the Cape Town/Stellenbosch area. Best wifi too😉.

Report Check-In

One of the best places to camp near CT.
We loved it.
Booking is essential!!! It is a very small campsite and it is getting more and more popular.

Report Check-In

Stayed here due to the reviews and it did not disappoint. Beautiful setting with a mountain backdrop on a luxurious site. 2 swimming pools - super clean. Very clean toilet and shower. Braais available to use. Owners are very informative and helpful - drove us in to town one day. Walking distance of local vinyards. Paid 300 a night for a tent with 2 people.

Report Check-In

An open grassy campsite situated next to the main guesthouse with space for 4 vehicles. Campsites are not demarcated

Report Check-In

We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful property with swimming pool and rose garden. A lovely cat and dog came to say hi every night. The owner is really friendly and droped us off at the beginning of the walking wine tour, what you can do in the valley. we highly recommend this place.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 2 nights. We met with Hardy who is very friendly and gave us pamphlets of a walking wine tour we can do on our own and the tram wine tour between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Very helpful! 150pppn (or 300 for the 2 of us + car) and we were the only ones at the campsite. Nice ablution but when it’s windy it is kinda cold after the shower. hot water, outdoor sinks, braai, a friendly cat and dog and good wifi and electricity at the campsite.

Report Check-In

Really nice place. The owners are very helpful. Nice pools and environment. Shower and nice toilet. Quiet and safe place and surroundings. Near the vineyard with good wine and food.

Report Check-In

Great small campsite in beautiful surrounding. The owners are very friendly and gave us great advice on the wineries of Stellenbosch. They allow 4 vehicles on their camping site. Power at the site is available. There are two pools which you can use and also nice places to sit. Internet is available and works fine. There is one ablution building, with a toilet and shower in one. In our view a little bit inconvenient if the place is full. We would also recommend a privacy screen around the ablution building because you can see through the walls. The place is great for exploring some wineries which can be reached on foot. Price is R 150 pppn which is very good value for money.

All still the same as before! Still 300/n for 2pax + car. We stayed five nights to chill.

Report Check-In

Green paradise! Beautiful spot, with thick grass carpet, lovely swimming pool (including sunbeds) and very nice bathroom. Hardy and Steffi are very friendly and welcoming. You can walk to the nearest wine estates for wine tasting. 300R for 1 vehicle and 2 persons. A reasonable price, considering what they are offering.

Report Check-In

Well maintained, clean, beautiful soft grass. A gem!

Report Check-In

beautiful camp here with extremely friendly people. 2 pools that you can use and a very clean and beautiful ablution block.
free fast WiFi.
It cost now 300 Rand for a car (we were 2 person).

Report Check-In

The price is now 300 Rand / site. The access to the place can be a bit tricky for trucks because of the trees. For BIGGER trucks (3axes, KAT, etc.) certainly not possible.

Report Check-In

Great place as decribed. This small, very well maintained campsite is a perfect starting point to explore the vinelands and cape area. Three to four campers can be accomodated on the shady grassy stand, the ablution is clean, the shower warm and the WiFi quick. The friendly hosts Hardy and Steffi will give you information about relevant points of interest and they will make a plan, once you need help / support. If you are lucky you might meet their parents Dieter and Gudy with their worldwide overlanding expirience. I definetly will visit again.

Report Check-In

Stayed three nights... (usually we stay just one night at a place). Wonderful rich breakfast for 75R/person. Campsite is paid per vehicule and not person. In our opinion enough space for several cars.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot in a stunning location. Camping in lovely gardens under the shade of trees, with a view of the mountains and full use of two swimming pools. Ablutions excellent. Owners very helpful and friendly.
Only very minor negative arose when a family of five camped on the other pitch - the wait for the single shower/toilet (both are in the same room) could be a little problematic.

Report Check-In

Very nice place if you want to go on a winetour by walking. 2 nice pools and very good WiFi. Only 1 ablution with 1 toilet and 1 shower, not very pleasant if more then 2 parties
Hardy is a very nice and helpful owner. Nearby there can be weddings with music all the night even during the week, otherwise very relaxing place.

Report Check-In

Essentially a guesthouse but room for a few campers. Extremely friendly owners, beautiful camping area, two swimming pools...

Report Check-In

Nice but very small Campsite with a beautiful view of the Paarl mountains. If there are more than two cars it's packed. And there is only one bathroom. So we had to wait for the shower quite a while. The german owner is friendly and helpful. There is electricity and many places to Braai.

Report Check-In

Very beautiful and nice place. Super breakfast in a beautiful setting. It is 250 for 1 night per car. We planed to stay 1 night but we stayed 3. Free superworking wifi.

Report Check-In

What a warm welcome by the friendly hosts and staff.
A beautufull spot between the mountains and vine-yards.
The ablusion is absolutely an Overlander eye-catcher.
This place is not a campsite but a 5 star beauty with 2 swimmingpools and a spacious garden.
Just get lucky to stay a night..... or two!
