Nice quiet place off the road good for motorbikes or cyclists. Could fit a small 4x4 but not big rigs. River water available but needs to be boiled.

We spent two nights here. The space for a rig is very small and right next to the road (not many cars pass by during the day, none after dark, but you hear all the noise of the highway)
It’s a small road that leads to the Experimental complex of the agricultural university.
First night we slept next to the road but in the morning the guard of the complex señor Martin came to check who we were and was happy to know we are travelers. He told us it’s ok to sleep on the road but it’s better to go inside the complex. He gave us his number if we have someone bothering us and invited us to come inside and have a walk. There is a nice walk after the crop fields that’s pretty light with mountain views.
We then asked if we could spend the next night inside the complex and he said no problem, just asked permission of his supervisor and let us stay on the football field. Second night was a lot quieter since we weren’t as close to the highway. There are also pit toilets next to the football field.
Señor Martin was very nice and welcoming, he told us some history of Perú and recommended visiting the Wari museum (it’s a nice place!)
He also said that they don’t put padlock on the gate until 6pm, so if you arrive earlier you can go in and ask to stay on the complex premises. He told us some months ago few bikers came and camped on the field.
The place is guarded 24h by guards with weapons so make sure to ask permission before deciding to camp inside.
