Latest Check-Ins

For a national park campsite, it is not so nice. OK it is in the forest, but directly behind the very busy highway (even in the night). Also a lot of trash around :-(. But hey, when you need a place to stay for the night, it is OK. There are toilets and picknick tables. The museum wasn't open when we were there. We didn't pay anything when we arrived in the evening, but as said in the previous comment, this might be different during the day when the barrier is closed.

Just for Information:
We contacted Taher because of the previous post. He said, that we cannot go inside the park, just go to east and West Part and he can show us a 700 year old tree, Museum and he wanted to do a walk somewhere.
In total for a daytrip with lunch, he wanted 50 Dollar per person (he needs to rent a car for the Trip)
As we were not going in the Park we did not take the offer and drove alone.

Report Check-In

We have visited the center to see the camping and receive information about the entry for the national park. Eventually we got directed to one of the rangers and conservatists of the park: Taher
It is possible to receive an entry permit for the national park through him (however a waiting period of 1 month us expected), or alternatively to arrange day-tours to the wildlife places around the national park.
Taher's phone number: +98 937 665 5235

*** Update ***
Taher offered us a one-day tour visiting a wildlife Observation spot plus waterfalls for USD 40 (can be negotiated). Taher does not have his own car and needs to drive with your 4x4 car or has to rent one, which will increase the costs.

Report Check-In

It is a nice place to stay even though it is really close to the road.
You should definitely visit the visitor centre, they have a small museum there with stuffed animals that live in the park.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay, but noisy because of the road and many Iranier having diner during Ramadan late in the evening. Difficult to find a flat spot. But for one night it is ok. Saw many wild boars.

Report Check-In

Very clean when we visited. No rubbish at all. Also not a lot of people around, but quite some noise from the road. Some cars passed by, the gate was open and people seem to use it as an easy place to make a ‘u-turn’.

The evening we arrived no one was around and we didn’t pay anything. The next morning (thursday) the gates were closed (it’s a chain, not really a gate) so you might have to pay on weekends in off-season.

Good for a night.
We didn’t see animals but did hear them.
There’s water available.

Report Check-In

its a nice place but with a lot of rabbish everywhere. its very loud at night from the road. boars with babys are there during the day and night. they come very very close (i guess the tourists and locals feed them)

Report Check-In

Nice spots in the forest, but to be clear, this is not a camp spot inside the national park. This is only a 1km long stretch of road with picknick platforms running parallel to the main road 50-100m away. It’s all in the forest, but you will hear the traffic noise of the road clearly. You cannot enter further into the national park, but you’ll see the boars and jackals searching for leftovers here. Good spot to spend the night when you’re travelling east or west along this road, but not to visit the national park.

Report Check-In

We stay here for an evening and also saw any boars. In night it's very quiet place. In morning (friday, iranian holiday) were any youngs and family groups but very calm. We did not pay either. Ther anynbarbecues. It's a very good place to rest one night.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for an evening and also saw the boars. There are a lot of them! But in the evening the rangers bring us to the red crescent station because they said it's not save to stay in the park. They told us in the past they had some bad experience because the animals have diseases. So we got a room in the red crescent and it was nice there too to meet the people and talk to them. For this winter day it was ok for us but if you like to stay in nature it's not the best option. And you are not allowed to go into the national park (besides the main road) without permission letter. So you cannot go hiking or sth else.

Good place! The advantage of wintertime is that there was nobody abd did not have to pay to stay either... ;-)
