no more motorhomes or campers welcome on beach parkings !!

After a few days in santiago, what a heaven to stay here. Super quiet, nice neighbourhood, only waves to lullaby you off to sleep. A lot of walking running during the day, shower on the beach (first time we see shower on the beach in south america.

This wa the perfect place to pack up, spring cleaning and refresh before leaving.

The carpark on ioverlander is close for refurbishment

after 20 min we were kindly asked to leave immedately

We stay here two nights. The second evening a man comes from municipality and say : « you can’t sleep here, no cooking, no tent,... » but he was ok that we stay a last night. Cold shower

If you feel like enough you can stay at the tercera edad only stretch in the middle section of the costanera. This part of the parking is free during thé day. And very quiet during the night.

parking in front of the beach. quiet area. lighted. at night, no one has passed on the nearby road. morning wake up with sea view. from 10 am to 8 pm parking is subject to charges. about 1000 pesos per hour.

Not sure why related entry said 'closed' in this parking area that stretches from Playa Norte to Playa Sur.
We parked during the day and was given a stub for the paid parking which is 15p per minute from 10am-8:00pm but no one ever came by to collect.
And we stayed all night.
