We checked out the camp site just east of here and opted for this spot as it is more sheltered from the road and it's got better spots for tent campers. There is also a spot right down by the river that is a bit sandy and slightly more exposed. Free.
Edit: also spots close to the river with little to no exposure!

No rocks blocking the entrance. Great spot. No cell reception. Lots of places in view of the road. Spot down between the bushes is very private, but very small, I just managed to manoeuvre my defender in.
Report Check-InNice place to stay, but there were rocks blocking volontarily the access (easy to move but not very welcoming)
Report Check-InSpent a quiet night tucked away in the bushes down by the river. The next morning our exit was blocked in all directions by boulders. Luckily, we are super strong and were able to clear our path to leave. Make of it what you will, but we didn’t feel very welcome...
Report Check-InLovely wild camp on the river. We drove all the way down where you're not visible from the road. We could only hear river noise at night. Thanks for adding this spot!
Report Check-InNice spot, flat quite and safe. We were by bicycles and we choose the place down because it’s more hidden from the road. Possibility to make a fire to cook there is plenty of dry bushes around.
Enjoy the stars, #leaveNoTraces ... and cover your legs !
Really great spot. Big space for any size vehicle. Great for Motos, bikes and rigs. Lower space near the river is secluded, upper is just fine as well. Free, quite and felt secure.
Report Check-InWe loved this place! We stayed with our minivan on the lower level area in between the bushes. Perfectly covered from the road which is very quiet at night. There is good access to the river. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent.
Report Check-InGreat little spot! Small opening in the bushes made for one of our favorite wild camps in a while.
Report Check-InLegit, you are just in sight if you park on the top level and outtasight if you park down. Little traffic on the road at night, cool sunrise in the morning. I have a minivan.
Report Check-InPerfect location we were three bikes with tents, good fire pit with wood. Go to the lowest level
Report Check-InA great stop along the road. Lighter 4x4's can park right at the river's edge. Room for 4-5 vehicles on the river level. Traffic on the highway was light and the cool weather and nearby river made for a great camp.
Report Check-InThere are two levels were you may park: we were on the higher one because it's hidden from the highway; however, big holes were made by large machinery , so 4x4s can pass through, but big rigs can not. On the lower level, near the river, any vehicle (including big rigs) can go through but you will be seen from the highway. It's a very nice place to camp, very quite and nice warm temperatures. Highly recommended.
Report Check-InParked down by the river amongst the trees. Quiet and secluded. Only downside is the black fly!
Report Check-InLarge flat area below the road. There is enough space for several vehicles. Idyllic setting. Trucks and buses driving at night but overall it's a peaceful place, slightly above the river. Maybe not too good to stay in the canyon when it's raining. It's known for rock and mudslides we were told.
