Great spot on grass and a small stream running through. When we arrived two shepherds were here with their sheep and they invited us for tea. The also recommended not to park too close to the mountain saying “stone stone”. So we moved our rig further out on the grass. Bring your earplugs as the river can be a bit noisy.

Great place to stay. Quite visible from the road and some locals and people stopping for water took an interest, not the best place if you want a lot of privacy. No fence and the whole place is available for use. Quite some plastic litter as well

Cool spot, car can be seen from road, but noone bothered us. There is very little traffic. Amazing spot for cyclists, nice beach for summer days relax.

Beautiful place! Sheppard with goats at the field who said it was okay to camp. People passed by, but everybody left us alone. Some waved. Very tranquil spot.

Yes, great spot next to a waterwell, where locals tap water. Nice grass but very wet from little streams. We parked direct left from the way up. Grass was not blocked. Locals told us camping here is no problem. Quiet.

Indeed a beautiful spot and can be entered by car without problems (at least 4x4). Plenty of shadow and water so a good place to relax.

Amazing spot on a grassy field between mountains and trees. You’re a bit visible from the road but we weren’t bothered by anyone. The fence had an opening so we drove inside the area. Plenty of space. No water in the streams and pools, but loads of water in the river, half October.

It is a really amazing place. And the best of it is the car lifting ramp on the opposite of the road. There you can check every bolt of your car after this bumpy roads. I was surprised how many bolts were not good tightened :)

if its was not clear by now than i will make it clearer: the best spot for overlanders in central asia! lots of shade for tents (planty places to put a tent on soft grounds for sticks) and a good shade for cars (currently there are spots for 2 cars, big rigs will be more diffecult). a nice creak that you can drink from, bath in a small pool away from sight and cool your beers inside ;) a tree of wild strawberies (all you can eat) and lots of wood for a campfire. all of this on the view of the amazing Bartang Valley, dont miss that one!

The nice main field has been fenced off with rocks and thorny branches.
Not sure, but its purpose might be to keep out goats rather than overlanders though. There’s a small grassy part right at the entrance ramp left accessible outside the fence. Still enough shaded space for tents there, but one car can now only park right next to the road and in full sight. Still a very pretty and quiet spot.

Confirmed - great spot for cyclists! Hidden from the road. Soft ground good for tent stakes. Clear creek is good for a rinse. Good find for our last night in the Bartang. Thanks!

Everything said before is true. There also is enough wood to build a campfire. If you're driving through the Bartang Valley, definitely stay here. There even is a mechanic's bridge by the side of the road, if you want to inspect the underside of your car.

Nice meadow next to the road. It's also possible for cars. Just a short ramp onto the grass. A lot of shade. Further up the creek you can "take a bath" without being seen from the road. Amazing sky in the night.

an oasis this is. absolutely gorgeous. little creek runnig along trees. lot of grass. perfect for bikers. right at the road and the river. perfect flat campground. lots of shade.
