The beach is nice and great for surf beginners, but the parking lot is not facing the sea, so if you are at the beach you can't see your car... and the road to get there it awful.

I WAS ROBBED HERE! Went there with my husband in the afternoon. Let the car in the road at the main entrance and went for swimming. Just as we get back at the car, and someone had broken into the car, opened our luggage and everything... they had taken everything of value... our phones, money, wedding rings and a powerbank. After that, we heard from many locals that crime has been increasing around the area. Police said you should never let value things in your car, but also not to let them in the beach sand, so I recomend you to reconsider wildcamping around Santa Tereza!

Wanted to camp here, but left just in time... Road turned into a river and the lot got completely flooded. Be careful here with heavy rain.
Stayed next to the Couleur Cafe instead. Private property, ask first.

Came here in the middle of the day, on a Tuesday, and couldn't even pull into the parking lot it was so packed with cars! So if you want to camp here I'd recommend coming at the end of the day.

We camped at the public beach access for two days. Gorgeous beach with lots of shade and good beginner surf. It is currently low season, so not sure what the police would say during a different time of the year.
