Parking lot near visitor centre. Chemainus is a nice town with beautiful murals.
Note that toilets close at 8pm along with WiFi shutting off. You can get water from a tap under the sink in the washroom in the men's for sure, not sure about women's.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Parking lot with another van staying overnight. There was signage about no RVs at entrance but we weren't bothered. There is specifically free RV parking a street over also listed on ioverlander. Bathrooms are locked overnight and WiFi off.
Report Check-InRV stalls are on Croft St - quiet at night, traffic starts in the morning. We didn’t see any no camping signs while we were there and no one bothered us.
Report Check-InBeautiful little town, the art murals are really cool to see. Worth grabbing a coffee and going for a stroll around the town in the morning.
Had no issues in the parking lot.
We even had a couple of police officers come by and have a chat to us to check that we were all happy, they said that it’s nice and quiet and no one should bother us, and gave us some tips for places to check out in the area.
The public toilets at the visitor centre are closed overnight though.
Very nice quiet little town welcoming RV.
Vote with your wheels and visit the place, enjoy the fantastic murals and use their commerces. And please keep this place clean.
Perfection!! Stayed 5 days no issues. There is a total of 10 RV parking spots provided by the city. No time restrictions.
Report Check-InWe just parked here to have breakfast at the picnic tables, use the washrooms and a little wifi and relax for a moment. We didn't see a sign that says no overnight parking but a sign where Campervans are crossed out. Don't know exactly what it means.
Report Check-InAfter the crazy busy Tofino and Ucluelet and that [.................... Content deleted by admin ....................] logging road
It was a dream come true to have a night of sleep here.
It was the paradise of huge empty parking
A local told me that all those painting murals were added to attract tourists , and we are welcome!
Go for a walk and follow the foot step on the sidewalk to see all the murals
Romantic cute park
We park right in front of visitors centre and washroom
If washrooms close walk 1 minute to the ferry one
Parking light even turn off at 11:30 pm lol
Tables there
Cute town
Could hear karaoke from far at the local bar
Finally I slept sooo good !!!
Report Check-InStayed here one night and it was fine except a generator was running all night at the construction site, wasn’t too loud though. We thought about staying a second so asked at the visitor centre and the staff member told us overnight parking isn’t allowed anywhere in town! So I guess it’s technically not allowed but doesn’t seem to be reinforced.
Report Check-InBelle petite ville et très accueillante pas de prob
lèmes pour passer la nuit
The public bathrooms and water fountains close at about 8pm. After that, the place is really quiet. There are also picnic tables which we used to make dinner.
They’re currently constructing a library on the same lot, so the noise will start at about 7am. Probably won’t be finished with that project for another year or so.
Chemainus is very welcoming for RVs, lots of space to park. Very nice to walk and see murals through the town. Colored Map at cheap price of $3
Report Check-InIn Croftstreet are parking spots marked as "RV Parking". They are directly in the street, so not very quiet. Public washrooms at the visitor centre. nice little town
Report Check-InIf you go along Croft St beside the visitor center there are tons of spots labeled RV parking. A little noisy but not bad!
