There are several free sites on this road without exit. There is a paid campground too. We stayed on the last free site, a huge grassy area with nice view over the mountains, a river and a lot of sun flowers in May.

Very beautiful, long drive. Spots by the river already taken on a Wednesday in July. Local we met said the whole area is packed on the weekends.
Report Check-InWe hit this spot yesterday the 4th of July. The 8 mile road to the site from 35 is on and off asphalt/gravel, but the drive is worth it. We arrived at 3:00pm and actually found a great spot right on the water. It was quiet, flat, clean and the dogs loved it. We could see two campers in the distance, but never heard a peep from 100+ yards between us.
Report Check-InSweet field with plenty of room for all the activities. Would definitely stay here again. No Att service.
