Description

S10/pp to enter the park (for a week). Camped in the parking area of La Mina Beach. A few level areas down around the "parking area". Beautiful beach and views. *****UPDATE: The whole park is currently under construction, lots of inaccessible areas and workmen and buildings sites. For this reason the park is not as beautiful or tranquil as it normally would be.

***UPDATE: constructions are finished 6.Feb.2017

Report Check-In

It is not allowed to stay overnight anywhere in the park anymore. Two rangers came around 7pm and send us away.

Report Check-In

Pasamos dos noches frente a playa El raspón. Maravillosa vista, hermosa playa.

Report Check-In

Stayed at playa Raspon. Was easy to get there in our 2wd (Volkswagen kombi). Paid the park entrance and 2 soles to use the toilets at playa La Mina. Whenever we tried to walk or drive away from the main road, park rangers in a pick up would immediately come to correct us.

Report Check-In

Stayed nearby at Playa Raspon. Wind calmed down a couple hours after sunset. Bathroom at Mina wasn't open when we checked at 8am. From here we left the "marked" road and did a loop around the peninsula. Had to backtrack a few times to get around larger hills/dunes but almost all of the land was sand over hard packed dirt. Careful approaching dune hilltops as some of the dropoffs are very steep.

Report Check-In

We also went a few hundred meters down to Playa Raspon. Slept in a ground tent. Very very windy in the evening (sand got over everything) but so worth it to wake up to that ocean view in the morning with pretty much no wind and a beautiful sky. Guy w key to bathroom was nowhere to be found.

Report Check-In

Great. Fisherman and birds and made some friends camping here :)

Report Check-In

Stayed at La Mina Playa, the wind was okay, behind the toilet house (If you enter the site, in front, and depends the wind direction) was nearly no wind, but you need to level a bit! The guy from the bathroom told us to knock on his door if we need it...we will see! Sun disappeared early around 04:30pm, behind the hills! Quite and Peaceful...

Report Check-In

we slept just front of the little house normaly open (i think in sommer) for toiletts bathroom... so we couldnt use it :-(

but we spent à good night without any noise. à fisher man called Yong look at us during the night if we have any pb.

we payed 20 dollars for the entry of the reserve. (the day past we didnt payed because it s closed after 5h30)

Roud's Road Trip

Report Check-In

All construction was finished! A great place to visit, and only 10/s PP. We stayed the next beach over at Playa Raspón. Mina beach site has toilets for 1.5/s but these seemed closed at night. Playa Raspon had a bit more protection from the wind, but it wasn't that windy. We felt safe, there was no one around, and amazing views. The sea was beautiful and clear too. Beautiful spot to spend a night.

Report Check-In

Quiet and secur parking
Plage au pied du Parking, toilettes propres, un coin tranquille

Report Check-In

construction works are finished; no problem to drive to the beaches; La Mina Beach was crowded - the next beach 700m along the road was nearly empty, but it has many stairs from the parkinglot down to the beach.

Report Check-In

Signs indicate access to La Mina beach is closed due to development, however workmen said it was okay for us to proceed anyway. Paid 10s per person for park entrance.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place at the sea. Very windy. We arrived at sunday evening and it was rather crowded. But at night we were alone.

Report Check-In

We stayed three nights. It is windy at nighttime. We saw Dolphins from our spot on two days. Plenty of people camping directly on the beach. Perfect for swimming. There are toilets but nothing else. Seemed like a safe place and the people who look after the toilets also have a caravan and sleep at the site. It was free of charge.

Report Check-In

Paid 20 soles for two people. Setup near the parking lot near Playa Minas. Bit windy but the 4wheel poptop seemed OK. The outhouse seems permenantly closed so there is dirty TP etc. everywhere. Heard later this is not the safest spot but we had no issues.

Report Check-In

nice spot to stay during the day, but overnight we stayed for security reasons on the rangers parking areal, at the laguna.

Report Check-In

Wanted to stay here but too windy so just visited for lunch and to see the beach. Spectacular views and good swimming. Also good clear water for snorkeling. No amentities but bathrooms. Enjoy !
